Mototeck undertail - group buy

no tracking # yet. What gives???!!!! I've waited almost a month and nothing.
 
We removed the "stoopid" clips and soldered the factory connectors onto the tail, all was done with glue filled sealing heatshrink tubing.
Smart move Grumpy ! The cheap orange clips will cause trouble eventually . They may be the reason why some people are getting the problem with the lights flickering .

I'm on hold with them now.... its amazing how they stay in business.... fugging amazing.  This girl is an airhead... truely qualified for a career at McDonalds.  


I did speak with Rob finally.... I guess the sales group doesnt speak to the customer service group... he had no intention of compensating anything for the wait and said that the delay was that the orders were not entered into the system until Friday the 24th, which means they didnt process til Monday the 27th.  Still crap and I will never buy from them again but at least its some information.

I don’t work in the customer service department so I’m not the one that makes or receives or gives out tracking numbers. I have to check with the customer service department the same way that customers do. I’ll shoot over an email to the customer service manager and I’ll see what’s going on over there.

i am waiting to hear something from Rob, but seems like the Sales Department (Rob) and the customer service dept are two separate things. ONe handles the sales the other the shipping, returns etc.

long story short, seems the vendor ran out of tails... mostly the black ones and never bothered to tell us so we have all been waiting around for them to show up... some people have also gotten there tails in and have had problems with the lights flickering but that seems to be an isolated issue thank goodness.
yes.. basically it depends on what color you ordered.. someone here ordered the primer one.. ( i thought it was they were going to send black.. instead they sent the primered base one..

Date of order: March 3
Date of Delivery: March 13

i know that doesnt seem fair.. someone who waited to place their order on March 3.. then gets a tracking number a few days later with expected delivery of March 13.. while some placed their order on Feb 21  and still no tracking number!

That's me kkattan. I received the tail on the 13th as promised, but it wasn't primered. It's a silver one. I really wanted to make this job as easy as possible on my painter, but I guess I'll just have to work with it.
 
So I guess now were at the mercy of ROB.

i got my undertail last night.. really nice.. very light.. eveyone is like.. you paid over 200 bucks for that.. yeah.. well i dont think we have choice.. i am guessing it doesnt cost to much to manufacturer. it is really thin plastic. but i guess thats all you need.. also i got my free lights!

Ok...i finally gave up and called them directly... they said that they have had alot of calls reguarding these undertails and that the rest of them should be shipped already... they didnt say how many but in my case anyway the lady told me that i should have a tracking number today. kkattan they said they would be sending my tracking number to you since i still dont recieve emails from them for what ever reason. So hopefully the rest of us have undertails in the mail and we will see them before the weekend... i'm not holding my breath...

I just called them also and talked to some guy named Mike. Not sure what department he works in. He said all the group buy undertails are shipped. I told him I didn't have a tracking # yet. He said I should have it and was going to contact shipping and see about my tracking #. He also said I should have my tracking # today. I hope he's right, I'll find out when I get home from work tonight. Good luck guys.
 
I talked to a young lady this morning and she told me the same thing as shimmyz.

"All group buy tails have been sent out" I should be receiving a tracking number sometime today.
She couldn't tell me when it was shipped though.
 
I tried the live chat earlier and was sent to another page and told to send message (so they must have been busy or not in the office)...so I have sent 2 emails today and I have not heard back yet, but I hope it is true they are out and we will get tracking numbers today!
 
They told me UPS would be by last FRI to pick up the bad tail(tail lights bad). I called 4 times MON wondering where UPS was. Never did talk to ROB "he was always on the other line". The final time a girl told me ROB promised UPS would be here TUE to get the tail. UPS just made it's rounds through my neighborhood and guess what. Just buzzed right past my house. I called UPS and they have nothing in their system about picking up a package at my house. Meanwhile, the rear of by bike is chopped up waiting on an undertail. I guess that 1 year warranty is worth ####. I am going to call Mototeck directly in the morning and see if they can do anything for me. I want to ride my damn bike!
