im on my 2nd yoshi (first bike ripped) stainless trs.
theyre the cheapest ($650 at motox outlet)
the only prob is the pipe changes colors, but the can stays pretty nice

You get what you pay for. I had two of the Muzzy systems and you could not give me one for free....

Yosh all the way.. Yoshimura Suzuki Racing.. The two just go together like peanut butter and jelly super.gif

i just noticed my header is rusting badly (yoshi) where its mounted to the motor. stainless that rusts! what a country rant.gif

Yeah good pipe for the Suzuki  beerchug.gif

Not much difference power wise in most of them .

A 1430cc Australian based Land Speed bike went 217mph with a Yoshimura pipe on it  .

A Carpenter 1397 made 209 with a Yosh pipe . More with race gas .

Another well known builder has made 216hp with a 1397 and a Yosh pipe .

Myself , I look at my own Busa as more of a a GT bike than a pure sportbike . I am keeping dual lows with oval cans on it . HMF brand .

(DC TONY @ May 28 2006,08:55) Man i have had 3 new busa's since 01 can't seem to leave the YOSH. I LUV THE SOUND SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll have to agree with the fact that the Yosh does sound better. Although the best sounding Yosh's I've ever heard were on a Honda RC-51. Dayum that thing sounded like a harley on steriods. I've actually never heard any on a busa but I'm sure that no matter what it will still sound sick as hell.
Now I am still learning the 'busa but I had Yoshi RS3's on my '03 RC-51 and to me they sounded like a pulpwood truck on steroids........the ultimate system for the 51 is SATO Banzai's..........much better performance and a deeper tone.......sorry just my 2cents

For what I do, the Muzzy is my choice hands down. But, Im sure that I am in the vast non-majority with my 16" over stock swingarm and Titanium Sidewinder exhaust.

Voted Yoshi... I have a twin tri oval zorst (no good pics yet) and it sounds HORN... Plus... Yoshimura "the company/race team" have 'made' a Hayabusa race bike, using all Yoshi parts... have Muzzy??? tounge.gif there's my answer within a question!

EDIT: Far Out... just realised how old this thread is... LOL

does going to a single exhaust knock the balance of the bike off since its balanced for a dual exhaust? Thats kind of why i was thinking getting titanium of carbon fiber muffler with my system would be alot smarter than SS.

Also is the titanium header and midpipe worth it over the SS as far as weight savings? I'm not sure how heavy a stainless system is on bikes.

All i know is i don't want my headers, mid pipe or any of the piping turning blue or rainbow. I'd rather have a permanent satin color, or permanent chrome look like stock.

And one more thing, anyone know if there is any gain using dual exhaust like HMF over single? A guy down at my dyno shop said he sees better #'s with busas using aftermarket true dual exhausts? I do plan on doing a 1397 down the road but no turbos or nitrous.

I love the HMF duel, i've rode Busa's with the muzzy, Brock, and Yosh Full systems. Personally i like mine better, looks, and power. but i'm bias because it's mine....

I didn't notice any feel of im-balance with the single can's over the duel.

As for going to a big bore, my understanding is that the HMF Big Bird is about the best pipe for that (it's a 4 into 1)

I have had both systems on my bike.  The fit and finish on my muzzy looked like a high school welding project an was waaaay too loud.  My stainless yosh with Ti  tri oval can is beutiful and is quieter.  I know some people like a louder pipe, I dont really like the extra attetion.  I went from the muzzy to the yosh without a new map an my butt dyno felt like more mid range with yosh and more top end with the Muzzy.
