Yes sir. They are really doing it up right.
The head is mine but it's being ported and polished along with flow tests. Also, I'm using the APE studs and nuts instead of bolts. This should minimize any potential "stupid" damage.

Are you using aftermarket head and bottom end stud kit ?
Not sure you really need this but that's what mine had done to it and it's never let go or spun a bearing etc.
Just some food for thought..............
Did they have those APE parts on hand? I guess they're on a 2-3 week back order from APE
I think that is why we don't have the block or cams back yet. APE gets pretty swamped this time of year, I hear. That is more personal experience though.
Just read through this entire post and WOW!! I try to do as much as i can by my self but this is a little out of my area of expertice! I like your self am another lowly SSgt down at Holloman (right around the conner...if I dont go the speed limit in Afganastan at the current moment) and, would love to meet up for a ride when i return home. I just got a 2006 busa after 4 years of rideing an 92 Yamaha FZR1000 while i have been over here it was a present from an amazing woman (the wife...my money/her blessing.
). I still have a bit of time here so you might have it done by the time I get back.

Sounds like you're referring to Steve Rice from Costa Mesa,CA(board name Riceya,still see him posting a lot over on Dragbike.com)?Only Riceya i'm aware of anyways but don't see what you're looking for on his site.

I'm about to start the paint job, maybe. I keep changing my mind and once I paint it, that's it, its done. I'm not going to go over and over and over. More pics coming, more fun coming, check out GixerHP's new posts about the motor he is building too!

It's been almost a week already .... let's see the pics of the painted pieces please!
Man, I swear to God I sometime think he toys with my life just to do it. My landlord came in from Belgium and decided to check up on the house. The first time was announced, we knew that she was coming. Yesterday though, her husband got back from Belgium and came to the house, unannouced, and when the wif opened the door, he barely introduced himself. She asked him to come in and he took it upon himself to just walk around the inside of the house and look around. My wif was taken aback by this because she only invited him into the living room.
Next, he looked at her and said that our house smelled like a kennel. He also said that he never would have agreed to allow 4 dogs into our house though every email we had back and forth (and fortunately saved) say that the dogs live in the house, that they are medium sized dogs, house broken, etc. We also, have the signed lease with the pet deposit for four dogs. She asked him to come back after I was home and he left.
After I got home, he didn't come over, call, anything.
Now, since he wants to be an *******, we might be moving again. God has a funny way of putting things on hold ya'll
I promise updates are coming, but I gotta find a new place I think. Our lease is up in May and I'm not going to keep my dogs outside. The will escape, get stolen, or get killed and I will NOT let that happen!

Did you sign the lease with the owner, or a Realtor?
I don't know your lease, but I don't think so I don't blame her for inviting him back when your home.

Alright, so we've decided to move but not until the lease is over at the end of May.
Now, I got word that I will either have my engine back end of this week or beginning of next week. My fingers are crossed. I'd really like to get her completed before I move.
