I think the alternating of places would be cool. I too (Like Big E) have trailer and will travel. Would love to ride the scooter in different states. But just like Thinker said, someone must step up to the plate and organize and plan it.

After doing it for Laguna this year I must say it is quite a bit of work, but well worth it. If it were not for Thinker's assistance, it would have been even more difficult. I have no problem planning and organizing again for 04, but if others want to plan a meet somewhere else, I'm down with that too!!!

Now is the time to start planning. Hotels fill up quickly and airfare is always cheaper the earlier you book it!! Let's make a decision!!!

I'm ready go go out East.

Who lives in or near a good spot and is willing to organize something? Any events to coordinate around? I would still be willing to keep a current list of attendees, but someone local will get the brunt of the work.

I think the best working concept for a national Hayabusa.org get-together is best served by alternating where you have it each year.  For instance, one year have it on the west coast, the next on the east coast, and the next in the mid-west or central USA.  This is the fairest way for all of us.  There is no way I can make it to CA, but I could do a central USA meet one year and certainly an east coast meet.  What Thinker said makes a lot of sense too.  We need for someone to organize the meet for each region (east, west, or central) and coordinate the meeting date.  But, as was said before, if no one steps up to the plate then the events will just be held in CA.  Just my .02.

Yup, its easy to have opinions, but when it comes down to it,most of us would rather watch the show.
So are you implying that I only have an opinion and am not willing to take action? :super:

No, I just agreed with you, specially the part about me making sense...
Cool! Hopefully we can get a major event scheduled out here on the east coast. I put together a small Virginia ride for the 27th (this coming weekend). This might grow into something bigger. I will talk with the folks out here about expanding the event maybe for next spring, a weekend cookout or something. Then maybe we could turn it into a national Hayabusa.org (east coast) event in the near future. Lots of resources for me here but it would have to be held in the Northern VA (DC) area if I put it together (so that I could pull from my resources).

Take care!
