nitrous kit availability

i was wondering if anybody has heard of any reputable n2o dealers having a busa efi compatible kit yet .
last i heard nitrous express was supposed to have one in december or jan. havnt heard anything since .
ive pretty much ruled out a turbo and dont want to have to lose my efi for carbs but if i have to i guess i will .
any thoughts or suggestions ?

i ruled out a turbo because i cant think of what i would do with 340 hp . that would certainly demand a monster length swingarm which i dont want . with n2o i can have hp on demand only and engine wear only when i squeeze it . not to mention the hp per dollar cannot be beat , unless i have to spend 600.00 on carbs and then a dyna ign . and then the n2o kit . on top of the standard internal mods recommended for juice .

Cycle stuff, I don`t want to argue...BUT ..I`ve never had a turbo ...street or race that with say over 7-10 lbs of boost that you didn`t have to do something to inside of engine...especially rods, pistons and valve springs. You will also detonate with pump gas...good bye ring lands on pistons...with any turbo the above would be the least that I would consider doing to the engine...but its just my 2 cents...to each his own and I`ll add that I`ve never had a turbo on a busa so what I`ve said may not apply at all....BUT what if it does?

I don't know what your motorcycle background is but, by your screen name I would say Honda motorcycles, and that would be the reason you don't see motors live.
join my turbobike list and post what you posted above and you will receive many reply's disagreeing with you I own a TurboGSXR 1100 with stock internals, I use 14 psi of boost on the street on pump gas and up to 28 psi on race gas making 400 rear wheel HP. I built the motor in 94 and has never had any malfunctions it also has endured 2 land speed race seasons over 300 dyno pulls making over 300 HP and aprox 8000 hard street miles. I did a leak down last month and it showed 3 to 5 %.
All that with stock internals.
I also know of 20 or 30 other turbo bikes running 10 to 12 psi of boost on the street .

Turbo Rick ...outlaw pro-mod that ran ...7.30`s 6 years ago...turbo nitrous...several turbo street bikes. You have not broke any cranks (GSXR)? OF course one thing we ran 35-40 lbs of boost and with nitrous...I had a box of wiseco`s...ring lands broke..switched to Arias...no more problem. On GS engine you do not weld crank pins or use straight cut gear on hub and crank or studs? Wow maybe you should have been telling me something I spent a lot of money for nothing. Not being sarcastic but I always will spend the money to just be sure. You seem to have great results with yours!

To Cycle Stuff: Depending on turbo design, you will feel it well before full throttle. Have an Aerocharger, with "variable vane" design that makes boost early. It shows 2 ~ 4 lbs., on the freeway. just cruising, depending on grade. If you crack throttle, with boost already there, you will feel results a lot sooner, than full throttle.......... ...I'm guessing it would only take 7 or 8 psi to get 250 hp. If FI and ign timing are correct, motor will probably be ok, if head gasket holds. Am running 10 ~ 11 psi. on Harley stock 80 inch motor. 105 to 110 hp @ 120 ~ 124 lb torque. 5000 miles on it............................. ... Would definitely like to run on Busa, if FI and ign. is set up accordingly. Let me know when "kits" are ready.

The Nitrous Express system will be for sale very soon and will work with EFI.
The stock fuel pump will be replaced with a bigger pump that will handle both the EFI and the Nitrous systems fuel needs also there will be a pressure switch that will deactivate the nitrous system if the fuel pressure is not at 43 psi ( low on fuel, clogged fuel filter or petcock ect. )
These are only a few of the systems features

Crazy, for $3,900 you can have a 250 hp turbo kit that fits inside of your fairing and no other modifications needs to be done to your engine. You would only feel your turbo with a wide open throttle. You won't even know you have a turbo around the city except for the cool turbine sound of the turbo spooling up. Kind of sounds like a airplane. But they are very reliable because you don't have to change anything interal to your engine.

CBXChris: I am not a Turbo expert but with intercoolers and mappable FI and timing control it is a lot easier to make bigger boost with lower octane fuel than the systems that you may be comparing. Intercoolers controlling mixture and timing can make boost a lot more reliable and safer than without. I think the days of strapping on a turbo with nothing else are long gone. I myself am still concerned about turbo lag in the twisties, I am not to sure what to think yet when it comes to an all around bike with a turbo.
Just my limited 2 cents (and remember 2 cents in Canada is worth 45% less)

TurboRick, You have spoken about a Nitrous Kit and the fact that it should be coming out soon. I'm sure this is the one you worked with. Right?

Question(s):
1. Is this setup using a control box like the Schnitz control box? If so, What programing can it do?

2. How is this Nitrous kit overriding the command from the stock ecm to the fuel pump when the rev-limiter comes on?(no fuel) Is there a direct power wire that makes it stay on even if the ecm says shut the fuel pump off when it gets to that rpm?

3. Does this Kit eliminate the need for a Power Commander or does it work with it?

Thanks ahead of time for your answers TurboRick!

Frank

Yeah guys I`ve been used to turbos from older bikes and extreme boost on drag bikes...from what Rick tells me things on especially the busa are a lot different. Its tempting to go with another street turbo especially if you don`t have to shell out for all the engine mods like the old GS.

CBX, on my '96 gsxr1100 I have a turbo that use to run 12 psi with everything stock on pump gas and made over 250 hp easy and it is fuel injected. I ran it like that for over 6800 miles with out one single problem. I ran through a lot of clutches before I installed my lock up but I have never had a problem with anything internal. I couldn't feel my boost until my throttle was wide open and I have rode my bike for over 300 miles straight without using my boost riding beyond the speed limit plenty of times. I have a lot of riding buddies that have the older turbo/nos or turbo/nos/alcohol street setups that have more problems then I do, but even them didn't lose pistons to often.

CBXChris, the GSXR cranks usually only break if you exceed 10,500 rpm...which as you know is all the rpm you need on a turbocharged bike.

In relpy to your Questions
1. No
2. If you buy a system you will find out.
3. You need a Power Commander.

If you would have read any of those post you would know I was out of town visiting Vegas Dude.
