Obama to set salary caps? oh this is cool

oh great... after seeing that execs make $4700 an hour... I sat down with management and we are going to fix a couple things...

First I am going to become a minority race
I am going to get fired
I am going to get some subsidized housing
I am going on food stamps
I am going to get free health care

Wouldn't that make you the 44th President?

The commander in chief is now going to dictate how much money some people are allowed to earn! this is great news!! This opens the door to nation wide pay rates established by the Govt!.. any idea how cool this is?

Ballplayers are next in line.. 10M plus a year? nope
Airline execs, promoters, trash collectors, auto techs are all in line to get their pay rate set by the guys in Washington!! I can hardly wait!! Wonder if us IT guys are going to get a raise or not? (we could do bad things to computers ya know) is about time we got some real "CHANGE"

The point was they are continuing to be irresponsible with money so tougher rules needed to be set.

2. The jet had been ordered 3 years ago and the the cost of not taking delivery was outrageous

Yes, why and how could it be applicable any were in the private sector?
The only reason it was done in this case is because so many Americans were expressing their anger about these
execs getting billions in bail out money and then doing things like taking 300K team building vacations, millions in bonuses,
1 million to renovate a CEO's office and all this after claiming their broke and laying off workers, It is a slap in the face to
all of America.

If you ran your company into the ground and you need Government help you should have to operate under
special rules and regulations, especially since their getting special loans, you can't follow the same practices
that got you in the situation in the first place. How many people could have keep their job if the big boys weren't
getting multi million dollar payouts or (no matter when they ordered it) 50 Mill for a new jet or 1 mill for a new office.

I have to agree with this. I normally stay away from political threads because I tend to be more liberal than most of the members here and it's just not worth the energy. But honestly, the .oRg isn't that fun any more. About half of the threads seem to be politically-themed Chicken Little rants.

Regardless of my opinion, I hope you all continue to discuss and debate your views, but I for one, can't wait until riding season starts so we can talk about something else.
