While watching coverage of the GOP parties and speeches I saw nothing but white people. You always hear the stereotypes but this was nuts. That is not what America is. Anytime the Obama supporters were being covered, you saw unity and people of all races together. That is what America is about. McCain's speech was classy as hell and we will need his help, no doubt about it. Rudy Giuliani had a great line earlier in the night. He sad that tonight some of us are Democrats and some of us Republicans, but no matter what happens tonight, in the morning when we get up, we are all Americans. We all have to work together to save this country. Weather some of you like it or not, those are the cards we a dealt now. Both parties have plenty of blame for the situation that the country is in right now and we all have to bring it back. I am a Veteran and a White man and I proudly voted for Obama, flame me tonight if you feel the need, but lets take the ride of our lives together starting in the morning. God bless this country and everyone that makes it the best in the world.

And that is what this all has been about. It has bothered me to no end that at most McCain events, there has been nothing but the sea of white. Same thing tonight in Phoenix. And yes, his concession speech was heartfelt and filled with integrity. He certainly has my respect, and always has. There were over 125,000 people at the Obama acceptance, and they weren't all overwhelmingly black.

I am SO happy that Obama won the popular vote & the electoral vote by such a landslide that there is no recourse to say it a was close or a fluke.

You are a VETERAN and Did NOT Vote for McCain..........Shame on YOU !!!!!!!!:moon:

Yes I am a Veteran and have EARNED my right to vote for whoever the hell I want to vote for. I obviously care about my country and have been discouraged watching your party destroy it.

Uhhh yeah.. hmm research which party was behind the mortgage crisis.

Cant say the republicans single handedly destroyed this country, the Dems are primarily responsible for the mortgage problem.

I think both parties are totally out of touch with the American people.

And unless Obama can bring the Democrats a little more to center, our country will head into socialism.

And we will lose our right to own guns.

But we will see. I am keeping a positive attitude, giving the benafit of the doubt and hoping for the best.

The worse thing that can happen is Obama and the dems will screw everything up then I can say "I told you so!!" as I am standing in the soup line

Its all good. I am a Christian and in the end God will take care of me and my family. so all in all when push comes to shove in the end whomever is president is president. I will be taken care of by God regardless

Ok, I shouldnt of used the term "your party" because I felt a little offended by Boss's statement. I just admitted that the Dems had plenty to blame for the mess also. Stay true to your words though Boss, I respect your opinion. :beerchug:

You Don't have to Respect My Opinion. The Man (McCain) was a FREAKIN Prisoner of War............OF WAR !!!!!!!!!!! He was Beatin and Bruised for Years and Never Gave Up !!!!!! Do you think he would have Given Up as YOUR PRESIDENT !!!!!!!!! It's about CHARACTER ! PROVEN CHARACTER. If You are a VETERAN and did not VOTE for McCain then Kiss My :moon:

OK then, you have proved yourself a fugging moron and have retracted my prior apology. You say that because he was a POW he should be president. I know quite a few people that I fought shoulder to shoulder with that would have never given in in similar circumstances, but I wouldnt want them to be president. And you sir can kiss my veteran (yes twice in wartime) :moon:

Please don't get into the "sea of white crap". We don't need to go there. Only 4% of blacks were for McCain so how many could there have been in that sea. Let's all be thrilled that we have passed this threshhold and can now proudly acclaim that we are a little closer to true equality.

Being a POW doesn't give you a free ride to the White House, serving his Country was a great thing, but it doesn't make him a President.

Yes because so much good comes out the barrel of a gun :banghead::disagree::puke:

I'm glad you believe God will look after you, because you obviously need all the help you can get.

If I believed in God I would thank him that the majority of Americans aren't like you! Idiot.

Ban away :poke:

As stated in Obama's speech, this is a sacrifice that very few of us as Americans could ever understand. He has sacrificed for this country in ways we will never understand. He is one of the most stand up politicians I have ever seen. He is a true American!!! He would have made a great president and I feel he would have made a "CHANGE" I voted for him not because he was a POW. That had nothing to do with it and I agree this is not a reason to vote for him. But That type of SACRIFICE for the Country he loves and then being involved in politics and persuing issues he has as a Senator on to running for president with the type of determination and understanding of what true sacrifice means has to carry some weight....

Where the fug did that come from. I know being from down under you may not appriciate Americans view on guns. We have a lot of hunters and such that wish to protect there RIGHT to bear those arms. Remember, guns dont kill people, oxygen thiefs with ILLEGAL guns kill people. Idiot.

Its just a healthy debate Tea. Alot of that goes on around here. We realize that the motorcycle isnt everything..........OK I take that statement back.

Don't you have the right to own guns in Australia? Crime has dropped dramatically in states that are open on gun control. I grew up in Illinois (Obamas state) and there only the criminals have free rights to carry weapons. I am sure the criminals appreciate gun control. It makes there job alot safer as they rob us citizens with less fear of getting hurt.

What is with all the name calling OMG!!!!

I appreciate the American (minority redneck) view on their "right" to kill anything that moves with a gun quite well thanks very much.

Less guns = less deaths (human and defenceless animals) period!

I understand you are clueless and uneducated on the American views on guns. Hey, did you ever see what happend to the crime rate in the UK when they got rid of there guns? Home invasion type crimes went up SEVENFOLD. Remember, when guns are illegal, only criminals have them. Now dont let the kangaroo hit you in the azz on the way out.
