No. Selling the bike. Buying gin…

Got some extra cash? Go BMW! You’ve always had good luck with them right?

Decided to step up my wardrobe...
With 11:1 compression, I wonder about using premium fuel all the time. On the road we buy what is available. I've never heard a knock on regular gas.

Ahhh, so that's what the T-shirt comment about. I never rode the first version but the second is faultless. And really, does have nicer lines

Saturday we met at the oldest Ferrari dealer in North America. Enjoyed a light breakfast while perusing cars I could never dream of owning. Had the driver's meeting and received a turn-by-turn route book. First class.

Headed out for the transit section over Mount Hood to the sparsely populated central area of Oregon. At this point we dropped the hammer. A bit of light rain initially was concerning to me as some of the guys had low treadwear number tires.

I was “sweep” in first group and was seriously underpowered. From the startups, they would just run away on several hundred more horsepower than our 2.5 liter has. But we were having fun, and I was exploring new speeds in a car on some of my favorite roads. The wife took it all in stride.

In Shaniko we stopped for lunch and enjoyed the local celebration. Great little town. From there it was east to Fossil. Curve after glorious curve. I tend to prefer a “torque” motor, but the BMW demands and thrives with revs. Keep her on boil between 5-6k and she will move. And the six remains silky smooth all the while. The car brakes and handles beautifully. The “sport package” seats are terrific.

The Ferrari guys were great. Happy to show you their cars. Many of them had an E46 back in the day.

Sunday was the cruise home. A saner pace and opportunities to stop and check things out. A super fun weekend.

Liking the silver.
I see you're running road tires, I have a battleaxe on the back but I plan to swap that ant the front out for a set of sport tires one they get a little more worn. I find I'm going right to the edge on the road one and I prefer to have a little chicken strip held in reserve. I suppose I could hang off the bike more in corners but I find that tiring these days. A lot of corners where I ride.

Sounds like wonderful country. I’m too slow to work the edges. I mostly cruise chicks.
