Post your pets

What great pictures, Speednut. And I agree with you and would have walked had they not allowed to allow me to choose what family member I wanted for the ring bearess. As far as I'm concerned, my pets ARE family. When we send Christmas cards, we include everyone's name on them.

Thats how we feel. Our animals are our children. We are not planning on having kids, so this is what we love most and spend our time with! Our pastor (my wife is lutheran and I am catholic) was willing to do a very nice ceremony, but not dwell on any religion too much. He also felt terrible that they wouldn't allow our dog in, so he came and did our ceremony at the reception hall for us. It was wayyyy more important to us to have our pooch in the wedding than to have our wedding in a church. The pastor was from my wife's church growing up. Neither one of us is much into our churches too much, but it seemed important to her to use him. And I thought he was such a great guy. During our 'classes' before marriage, he completely understood us. Didn't bash us for our choices up to that point (living together etc.) he was up with the current times. He had just come back from his second tour of duty in Iraq, so he understood me and my profession really well (Police Officer). I could not have asked for a better man to do our ceremony. Even my parents, who are kinda on the stricter religious side loved the guy even though he was from a Lutheran church. I tell my parents shut up when they preach their catholic nonsense over lutheran. we believe in God period. So do they. So who cares where we attend church the times we actually go, or who does our ceremony. Ahhh the great memories of wedding preparation. People should just be happy my wife wanted them there, or most of my family wouldn't have been invited if it were up to me

These pets keep us going and have helped us through some rough times. Not marriage rough times, I mean other rough times like family deaths, etc. They listen so good, and know how to help and be there. I believe they were the biggest reason why my wife recovered so well from some surgeries she had. They were there 24 hrs. a day to keep her smiling!

I like the way you and your wife think! Beautiful pics and a beautiful family you have.

If you should decide to have kids later on, I think you would be excellent parents...

+10000 on that, we feel the same way, and we aren't having children either.

the best thing about pets is that they don't care if you're in a bad mood, had a rough day, whatever...they just want to get and give love. What more could you ask for?

A while back i was having an absolutely rotten day - I had found out my dad's prostate cancer had come back and had to have radiation and another surgery. needless to say I was upset. I was sitting on the edge of the bed and all of a sudden *WHAM* i feel something slam into the top of my head. it's jobu giving me a big head butt. he hopped up on the bed and snuggled up to me. how they know what you need like that is beyond me, but they sure are a blessing.

hey ibified, i see you are in indiana. im no geographist, but that cant be too far from my area. i have never met up with anyone from this board before, but it sure seems as though everyone on here is super nice. we gotta do some riding one day. maybe a little late in the season to start, but whenever it gets a bit warmer it would be nice to meet someone from here. not many busas i see around where i live. more cruisers. most of my friends i work with have cruisers too. i ride with them all the time, but its not the same. well anyways, thanks for the comments. sorry about your father. i truly believe that animals are human's guardians... even if they are showing it by head butting the sh*t out of your face. we get the same thing here. and god forbid somebody's hungry around this place.... everyone goes nuts. the chain effect.

I'm not to far from you either speed. I was just in Naperville yesterday at the college doing some training. I work for the Department of Corrections.

gsxtacy, i guess you will be contacted too when i start trying to meet up with members. nuts, im not the only busa in illinois...

Andrew, I know how that is. After my accident, Omslaw brought me home and my dog pepper was all over me. He knew his dad had been hurt, and he did not move from my side for days. Pepper is always there to greet me when I come home. I work till late in the evening, and my wife tells me he will move from the family room to the front door a few min. before I get home, and I do not get home the same time every night. How he knows when I'm coming I will never know.
