RANT: Why can't you just be happy for me?

When I bought my first Busa, my sons gave me a lot of crap, these are 25 and 27 yo know it all about bikes...
Until I let them ride it...naturally that is what they now want to have.....

where ever i go with whom ever my busa gets the attention , it is an awesome machine , as for the " what you want all that power for " well you probably dont , but its not what its all about

buy it & enjoy

"What you want all that power for"??? So that next time when one of them try to show off their bike's power, I can show them how the tail end of my Busa looks like. :D

Envy is what I would call it. I went from a Busa to a Harley and then back to a Busa and took flac from lots of folks but the bottom line is, you ride what you like and if others don't like.....they can f*ck off....
My sentiments exactly  :beerchug: Who gives a rats azz what others flapping gums have to say about you're choice of motorcycle :moon:

Even if you spent a million on a Buggati Veron, somone would say it is not the fastest why get it. Do it for you and don't worry about the others.

Sounds like a case of the homeland bike blues. They hate the fact that your letting go of a British bike and getting a Japanese bike instead. Then there is the jealousy, and then there are those blokes that just don't get it. I wanted a busa, I told everyone, and everyone tried to talk me into a Harley... I'm 5'10" (178cm) 170lbs (77kg) of muscle and athletic, I sword fight and do martial arts... what part of that says I wanna lay my a$$ on a fat Harley!!! But I live in Texas and everybody rides a Harley in Texas:whistle:... Well not me:cheerleader:
You live in the UK and you need to ride a Triumph...And you're not going to:thumbsup:
They'll shut up when they realize how apt a choice the busa is for you.

Buy what you want Hanna, iv got a hayabusa and a cbr600rr. Love them both!!! Just dont understand why people have to hate on what they dont like or have. Im not a cruiser guy but i dont rag the guys that own them. Ride what you like, at least till it rides you then ride it some more!!!!!!

Hanna, another great thing with owning a busa. All the people on this site to BS with and get to know.

Look at yourself as a trend setter not a trend follower. Most people are scared of the power, then the size and finally the weight. You worked hard for your money and this is for you, not them. Let people say what they want...if they are your true friends, you won't be getting issues from them anyways.

I hope you enjoy the bike for many years!

Sounds like expert comments coming from people who have NEVER ridden the mighty Busa:poke: nothing like first hand information that's why you have come here:thumbsup:

- You don't want one of them, you want a Blackbird. From a bloke I'd never met before when at a pub meet with a bunch of other bikers last night.

My response to that would have been, "Don't you know why the busa was originally made? Do you even know what Hayabusa translates to? It means Peregrine Falcon. You know why it was named that? Because it's a predator of blackbirds and when Suzuki released it, it completely dominated the blackbird... As it was meant to."

Just don't EVER crash it, or you'll never hear the end of it :beerchug:

why worry about what others think, if its really what you want then get it.
the busa is a beautiful bike to ride and i think your enjoy it so much your never look back.

I get them all the time and getting very tired of it. Most people can't believe I jumped from a ninja 250 to a busa but I did and I am very proud I did, I love my bike problem is I hate when people talk smack so I have been thinking about just not riding at all. I cannot see myself going to anything else so my only other options are to deal with all the smack or sell it. If I sell it they will say I told ya so, if I don't they just keep hating either way I can't win for lose. I bought my bike because it was beautiful and for no other reason. I don't care how fast it goes as long as I look good riding it and so far that part has not been the problem. The problem lies when I dont want to push my bike to its limits like the guys on 600's do. I have nothing to prove to anyone. I just wish they would all lay off.

Thanks guys, for the huge and wonderful response. I feel a heck of a lot better, as I hoped I would, given this is a forum dedicated to the wonderful machine!

ScootRRgirl: I think I'm going to get a heck of a lot of that, especially as I happen to fit the bike perfectly size wise, in my humble opinion  Main thing is you're happy so I hope you don't sell it.

skydivr: Crashing it doesn't bear thinking about. I'm glad I didn't get it as a first bike as I've done the innocuous drops and not so innocuous loosing it on a nasty corner already... cannot imagine doing that on this one!

gmmech07: I was tempted but I didn't think he'd actually grasp what I was saying to him. Plus I was too shocked that someone I've never met before was talking to me like a child. (Okay, so I am 30 to his 60 but anyway).

Temerarie: Heeeelllllloooooo! What martial art? I used to do Jujutsu a few years back for quite some time... wasn't half bad at the time, doubt I'd be much good now.

niso: Awwww bless!

Acehole: Very true! I've just met a new guy at work (ahem) who, after seeing me on my bike and then playing pillion a couple of times last week has gone and booked himself on a Direct Access Scheme for his license and will be having a shiny new B-King delivered in two weeks time! New nutty friends! :cheerleader:

VaBusa: Hehe! I'll have to try that.

DevilDawg1: Exactly. I wonder if half the problem some people have is that I can afford it and they are a bit put out by that. Not my bloody fault I have a good well paying career! Well it is... and saying that, said good well paying career sends me across the globe so I don't get to ride as much as I'd like. Oh, and I'm proud to be here also, very proud! Thank you.

It's what we call 'Hater-aide'.... Unlike Koolaide, no matter how much sugar you put in it, it's still bitter. So do yourself a favor and don't drink from the hater-aide.. stick to the koolaide.. (I think you blokes serve them in pints) and ride on..

Funny.. I've gotten that too.. But when they see her (Her name is Mona) they just drool and admit they don't have the nuts to ride her.. I tell people often, I'm the slowest busa rider they'll ever meet. I got her for a bunch of reasons that suite me fine. Just let them watch your arse as you pull away from them and you disappear in the distant horizon. Know what that means.. Until they do like you, they are just following.. And even AFTER they do like you, that were still following..
