So I forget how folks turn liberal in their old age around here and the SoFla bug has got her to !
To set things straight:
1,766,068 Concealed carry licenses are currently legal in the state of Florida.
There are approx 18,000,000 people in Florida.
This calculates into a 9.5% number of people who I guess are loons like me.
So basically ten percent or every 1 out of 10 people you drive by, ride by , walk by or pass in Walmart as I just did is licensed to carry and or is !
1 in 10
In Walmart look around and see 30 people, 3 out of them could be.
It is not that low of a number as to make it seem like we are a minority of 'loonies' as mom referred to me.
And of those almost 2 million only 167 were people who used them lawfully in self defense. An incalculable percentage really .
We as Gun owners and carriers have proved ourselves here.
I have carried every day for almost 22 yrs without incident, thank God.
But we are still seen as nutz ?

Well...in his defense, officers don't like you to come to them, it's a safety thing. But that's the only exception that I see in this scenario.

VB I only wanted to get close enough to ask him if I could unzip so as to make him at ease I was not making a move toward my weapon and it was smokin hot sittin still ! I was drippin in no time. Only wanted to get close enough so he could hear me ask and in no way wanted to come around door or make him feel any more nervous than he already was.
He just blasted me with megaphone from 2 feet instead of asking me himself.
Yes I agree he could have but then again I guess I have to take his word I was going 56 , 16 over so he had right to write me for it ?

Most of the time its a right handed Snap close Don Hume Belt holster as you see here.
Sometimes same holster only left handed.
I dont think or plan on ever shooting while moving so I carry same place as I do no matter what I'm wearing or driving.
I'm lucky , I'm skinny and can still conceal a double stack full size 1911 under a T shirt and bathing suit if I wanna.

This is an excellent holster and you cannot beat the price.
Like 50-60 bucks for as good if not better quality than a Galco or Bianchi holster that cost double.
It has a nice forward cant to it for a nice grip and draw.
Holds gun in toward body so butt doesnt stick out also.
Very quick and secure...its been....well lets say pretty fast and has not come unsnapped.
If you can wait and order it direct from them and get it hand boned for an extra few bucks its worth it as the fit is truly like a glove and from first time it goes in it comes right out, no break in needed.
I have like a dozen of the exact same holster in right and left hand for all my guns, Ber92s, Sigs, Glocks, Paras and others.
I am completely ambidextrous with guns, pistols and rifles.
I can draw and shoot just as fast and accurate with both hands.
I shoot LDR (Long Dist Rifle) better left handed cuz its my dominant eye though.
Since I found this line I have bought nothing else.
They have an open slot model where the front is more open for quicker draw but it allows gun to get dirtier.
They have same model without snap but not for me, no what I like.
And they have a simple double-nine model that is a slot holster again with zero retention.
Not for me.
I like a strong full enclosed snapped holster made from really good smellin leather !

Cant go wrong with anything made by Don Hume at all.
Sounds like a Hayabusa specific holster...I use a Crossbreed Supertuck Deluxe for my G19.

I have had this same issue when I dealt with a Scottsdale police officer. As he approached me I had my helmet off and my hands on my windscreen. I did this so he could see my hands at all times and I could tell him that I did have my gun on me. When he told me to get my license, registration, and my proof of insurance out I got off the bike to get it out. He got all pissy and immedately put his hand on his gun and asked me why I got off the bike. Simply told him I had to to get my paperwork out. He took my paperwork and went back to his car to run my info. By that time another officer showed up and I was talking to him about it. He told me that the other officer was young. I told him that was ok, but he needed to treat people with a little more respect. I didn't try to hide my gun or run from him. I ended up not getting a ticket.
