b) No, I do not think it is all fake but I do look at all sides and only then does it become clear what side is seeking truth or attempting to cover up or conceal the truth. I submit the postings of an earlier exchange where I changed my mind based on info you provided. namely that what all sides were claiming was not entirely true about the equipment "abandoned" in Afghanistan...where it seems MUCH of it was already given away. In my mind, once ya give something away it is already gone and can't be abandoned.

c) It makes no difference if I am a 6 star general or a drunkin' street bum. NONE of that changes the reality of what we talk about here because we are not relying on any personal experience, we are talking about society and politics.

And yes, The Gateway Pundit is a Right-Wing news firm....If what they claimed are lies it would be easy to refute but you will see that most of their work is simply calling out the lies and bias of the MSM and that is what brings much hatred on them. They do not let the MSM get away with their lies and selective omissions.

The equipment which was in Afghanistan had not plan to be removed..it was there to stay and it isn't top tier, it is all equipment readily available on the world market..I'd wager enemy countries of the US already had much of this equipment and have already experimented with it.

....and one last point....I indicated I am NOT a liberal so you might as well save that talk. I am neutral with a slight conservative lean.

Hi. I thought it was planned to be left for the Afghans to fight the Taliban with. I see that was not the case. They just left it and ran or they joined the Taliban. I m Nam we destroy everything so the VC or the NVA could not use it. I was not there at the end so I do not know what happended.

The equipment was indeed left there for the ANA/ANP to patrol and fight for their government like any other nation....it was given to them with no plan to remove it as it wasn't under US command and control and scattered all over the country.

The Afghan government collapsed, somewhere I read that collapse was due to the agreements signed between the US and the Taliban during the Trump administration.

The ANA/ANP ended up getting zero support in the way of resupply, pay and logistics and were being encroached upon by the Taliban so they simply changed their clothes and walked away from their posts, this sped up when the ANA spec ops guys actually put up a sustained fight only to run out of ammo, surrendered and were all slaughtered.....

There are still part and parcel of the ANA/ANP hiding out around the country who are conducting insurgency strikes against the Taliban.

At the time of the US election, there were less than 5000 US military members on ground-hardly enough to be effective at launching any sort of offensive against the Taliban. If those military members stayed, the chances of them being wiped out was really good.

I take the side of people in general....I've been too many places and seen too many horrible things to really take politics seriously...

Political leaders are in it for one thing-themselves period.....

To me, people like Trump are not leaders, people like him are egomaniacs who are self serving narcissistists and are more concerned about their own interests than those of the people they are supposed to be serving. Sadly politics are full of such people.

...and what news isn't fake these days...CNN and Fox are equally fake only on separate ends of the spectrum...hard to say what is real and what is designed for creating drama and division amongst people.

Politicians are all in it for themselves...how they make money eludes me....I'm certain this sort of thing goes on with both republican and democrat politicians.

I don't follow what Trump does or his finances...it means very little to me-he's as shady as all the rest of them.

if he's guilty of anything, it will come out in time same as Biden.

Like I said on another post in another thread, I can go into the internet and find sources to neutralize your sources but why should I waste my time.

I have never liked the man, his life is not exactly covert, there is enough content all over to justify why I don't like him....and I might add enough voters didn't like him either-that's why he is no longer a president....they most likely didn't like Biden either but they disliked Trump more.

No need to ban him. Even though it would be a done deal if it was. He's earned that violation. We need to let these people run their mouth. His argument is a script that has been recited here so many times by a lot of others that eventually go elsewhere.

I've been called an imbecile and a racist among other things. They are not banned. I let them run their mouths. Eventually everyone sees them for what they are.

They have no idea what we have seen and done to protect their rights.

The only thing I'm an expert on in the AR is putting thousands of rounds through an AR (NATO). Their sole purpose is to dispatch a life as efficiently as possible. It's not the only weapon that capable. But we don't seem to hear much about H&K and the rest. I see ARs with price points in the $400 range that can do some pretty serious work

So putting them in the hands of people intent on using them for that purpose is a dangerous "freedom". People are wound pretty tight these days. They lose it with more frequency in these times.

If they think we are libtards, they are part of the problem.

I challenge you to find error in my comments but you just cast dispersion with no support. That sounds like a bannable offence - but it is not my call and I am sort of an anti-censor type.

Please let us know what you have done to protect rights? Wearing a uniform in the sand - Chelsea Manning and Bowie Bergdahl could say the same.

IF Russia survives this war intact, we are on the ground floor of a new cold war starting with them.

The "so what" of this is the Russians will work at supporting each and every enemy of NATO countries.

It will be kind of sort of like it was before only the Russian support will be more overt.
