San Diego Hoons...10News // Lane Splitting Story

notice they didn't tell how many cage driver fatalitys? as long as the law is followed it is a safe practice. Arizona is looking at a statewide allowance. phoenix already made it legal, and other states are likely to follow.
%101
media hype. making up news should be illegal!! if you look into the dot stats, bikes are way safer than cars. maybe a helmet law for cars and trucks would help save lives as they believe it "prevents accidents". helmets only come in to play during an accident, not that in anti helmet, just mad at the media trying to make up news.

Lane splitting is one of the things i miss most about riding in California now that im in Washington traffic on I-5 is enough to make u wanna :firing:. never done it at insane speeds that i've saw some people do it at though and I think thats what gives the public such a negative view of it

I'm not a fan of lane splitting basically because I don't trust cagers w/ my life. However I will do it when the traffic is barely moving or not at all.

That one made my butt pucker. I don't think I could do lane splitting at the speeds they were showing. If traffic was stopped, or creeping, then ya I can see that. Just doesn't seem that you can see far enough ahead to know what's about to be in your way.

I've never been a fan of lane splitting... did I hear correctly that it was only legal at speeds of 12 miles an hour or less? Not from CA... don't know what the law says.

If traffic is stopped and if motorcyclist is going slowly, then I have no problem with lane splitting, but at a point it becomes an exercise in very poor judgment.

Hope that life insurance is paid up. Cars drivers NEVER do anything unpredictable.
