Spring Bash ~ April 28-30

I got a Featherlite Model 1610 18ft. Should be able to haul six bikes. I was looking at a 16 ft but the 18ft was only $200 more. These thing got to be like a garage they look huge until you fill them up then you wish you would have got a bigger one.
I am shopping for a trailer as well. Kinda looking at a 7 x 16. I probally wont get one until way up in the Summer.

think I want to get one too... just pretty low on the list of things to spend money on right now... maybe later this year.

Great to hear that you got the trailer though! Hope to see it full of bikes

hooken, Not sure how the weather is gonna be, but if lots of snow....think you might have room for mine? Sounds like you have it pretty full with other bikes, but just wanted to touch base with ya a little in the event we have a few feet of snow - if your full, I understand..no problem.

Wood, you think we'll need wood? How much we gonna need? I'm going to need a bigger trailer.

if we are gonna be there for 4-5nights, you just might want to bring the better part of that first green tarp

no, I'm not kidding
wow.gif
We used basically the first 2 sections of that tarp at the last bash

Valium right now there are only two spots in that trailer spoken for.So if you need it let me know.It along time to the end of April. We will see what the weather is the week before.

Do you realize that there are 16 states that are repersented with people that are going to be at the Bash. That is GREAT. I cant wait.

If this is out of line by asking the following, Moderator please delete this post.

Not that I would encourage drinking & riding - Im talking at the end of the day, what is the beverage policy? Tequila, Scotch, Cognac...is it ok to bring? // Scratch that, dont think I can haul all that down with me. Is there a Liquor store within walking distance to Phillips Motel? I could sure go for a few Brandy Manhattan's and some good Patrone Tequila shots at the end of a long day...

Im talking social drinking here, is that ok at this event, or is this a dry event? I figgure I should ask, dont wanna be the guy showing up with a courtesy Kegger to find out Im violating some sort of rules policy or the whole Busa Bash group is gonna give me the evil eye for courupting the atmosphere.

I drank like a fish last April. (kidding) I didn't have a problem with it after we were done riding, I did partake a bit actually. Keep in mind the area is dry, so whatever you desire to drink, best to bring it with you. Beer is available, but not right in Robbinsville. It's a pretty good hike to buy it. Also you have to maintain a fairly low profile, but not a big deal.

If you bring a courtesy keg, I'll nominate you for Busa Man of the Year...!

If there is a Busa Group rule againts drinking there has been some serious violations of the rule and there suold be an investigation into this.

Sitting around the fire with a touch of sack whiskey.........lookin' forward to it at the end of the day.

as others have mentioned, there has been some drinking around the campfire at previous events. I think its just fine and have had a few myself. I think as long as things stay under control and we dont make a mess with the trash, no one will say anything. Its definately more of a sit around the fire, tellin stories/lies and sipping a drink than the radio on and party atmosphere though. And as mentioned its a dry county. You'll want to import whatever you want to drink
wink.gif
or be willing to carry it back from over in TN

Shoot, if this was a "dry event" AFTER the ride, I was backing out...

BTW, I've got 3 potential tag-a-longs...two Harley riders and a Katana wanna-be-R1 rider...
cool.gif
Hubby is SO on board with this ride, so hopefully it'll all work out...

Oh, and one of the Harley riders wants to bring his 12 year old daughter along, possibly...didn't I see where there may be children riding with Dads as well?
