I was thinking of bringing my Shuttle PC.....for making dupes of the photo Cd.
Or will there be enuf stuff there?

I suspect we'll have plenty of duplication capability... but never hurts to bring it along. There's not really much in the way of TV entertainment up there, so you could always use it for watching DVDs if nothing else

Somebody must bring a laptop with internet capability. VABusa will be there and we don't need her in postho withdrawals with her finger on the zapper!

you can bring all the network equipment you want... there's not really any access though... so remember your 800 dial in numbers

Seriously though, no real web acess up there

Sounds like a couple friends of mine wimping out some. They talking about renting a trailer now and switching off riding and trailering hehe.

This area is decidedly low-tech. Even cel service is almost non-existent. If you lean on the metal pole at the overlook by the power lines you might get a signal.

Haven't tried internet access there.

GSXcite the last two times I have been there the weather has been great.I would say 70 to 75 during the day and maybe in the 50s at night. Sweatshirt around the fire maybe. A little cool in the morning for the first ride but not to bad. We are a week or so later this time so I would think it would be better.

Towing also. Have a cottage so we should be able to park in driveway and use as a garage?

ok, all you lurkers and current attending types ... please chime in on

We did have light frost in the early am last spring. It was fantastic during the day, but my night run over the Cherohala was a bit chilly.

Just my .02 but the weather last spring and fall was great overall. The temps were in upper 40s early am and upper 60's and low 70's during the day. Evenings wer inlow 50's 15 feet from the fire and 100 up close to the fire.
As far as security is concerned in 5 0r 6 trips to the Gap I have not heard of one incident where a bike was damaged or stolen. At the Phillips you can pull your bike up to your door and even last fall all parked along the front were safe. I would suggest a chain and lock and from experience a cover, not for safert but to keep the bike clean and dry to start your day. I,m certain there will be enough Mr. Smiths, Wessons, and Colts to give any prospective theives 2nd thoughts.
Everyone come for a good time, no pressure to ride faster than you are comfortible, just be careful, courtious to the non-Busa crowd and all will be goooooood!

everyone come
