Starting issues on gen3

My 22 did this with less than 15 miles new, I pulled over and shut it off for 5 minutes went to restart and it acted like a low battery but started fine on the second try, someone posted if this happens to barely twist the throttle and this corrects it. Good luck.

I wonder if other motorcycles suffer from this or is it a Hayabusa thing?
The guy at my dealership who seems to be the most knowledgable said it does happen with other high performance bikes. Said it's designed to perform, not start. Sounds like hooey to me, especially since they're checking to see if this issue is covered by my warranty which would negate his statement.

I've known lots of people who owned high performance bikes and they have never mentioned this with their bikes although it might not be something they would brag about....

i think their should at least be a TSB to fix this issue. I could see this possibly becoming another recall when someone gets rear ended at an intersection bc the motorcycle stalls and wont start.

sounds like he doesnt know much with that statement. both gen2 and 3 have the same displacement and c/r. also the gen 2 has more aggressive camshafts. this isnt an issue with gen 2. its common for aggressive race engines with higher than stock displacements, high c/r, and lopey cams to not want to start easy. if the stock busa engine start issue was due to its “performance” that would always be a issue bc the engines performance doesnt go away without changing parts.

It's normal before the engine breaks in. The pistons and o rings are very tide especially when dilatated by heat, the crankshaft doesn't have enough power to turn the engine at start.
Mine did the same until 700 miles.
Also what has helped in my case was full synthetic oil replacement
