Ten innocents dead

Hi. I think that it was a terrorist attack. And for stopping power you can not beat a 50 cal. For me I love the 380. For up close to 30 ft 2 center mass then 1 to the head.
....50 cal...well you got me there...hard to haul an M2 around though..

I think it was just some idiot who listened to the voices in his head or played too many video games..

@WuzzaCBXRider you are as funny as the media instantly jumping on something, you have no proof of. He said multiple times on Facebook he was islamist, but religion aside that doesn't really matter. You posting a "very scary" gun is hilarious. I could only imagine the news outlets you follow and get your information from they properly sound something like this.

Stay scared and mad at everything that doesn't align with your views.

Where the hell did I post anything about being scared? And mad? Who am I mad at? You also put In quotes, ‘very scary gun’. Who are you quoting? Wasn’t me, I simply placed a pic of the weapon he used and you thought it was “hilarious”? WTH? And your news ‘sources’? They’re all local news rags apparently with the same source. I don’t read local newspapers here or from anywhere else. The news sources I did read, including fox btw, never showed that he was some sort of Islamist activist. Mentioning Islam does not make him an activist. He hadn’t posted anything on FB in six months. And there seems to be far more information pointing to him being mentally unstable than there is him being an Islamist.

And a 223 round at any distance is far more powerful/harmful than a 9mm. That guy the cop shot seven times in the back at point blank range with a 9 or a 40 cal is still alive. He wouldn’t be if he’d been shot with a 223 seven times at point blank range. bitchute equals bullshiite as far as fair reporting goes. Like all alt right (news) sources, they jump on whatever bit of information that riles the crowd that believes what they print, true or not. I merely asked where, other than bitchute, did that info come from.

Don't know your background but I do know mine and I disagree..

cheers
ken

I gave my Huskys a curry , thay haven't stop farting for two days , two stinkbags . I need something to shoot them with . Maybe a 110mm howitzer , Do you think it's enough ?

Just two days after the last mass shooting, another idiot was found thankfully, before he became famous killing innocents, was armed to the teeth inside a grocery store. Wearing a flak vest he also had a shotgun, and AR type rifle, three semi auto pistols and a revolver. Extra ammo and loaded mags too. It’s no wonder that some people want more restrictions and it’s also no wonder that some people want to carry weapons.

It doesn't matter if they have a gun or not , if you have someone wanting to kill people they will do it with a homemade bomb, or maybe even a car and run people down. It's not the weapon, it's the mental ill person who decides killing people is what they want to do.

It doesn't help now for the past like 30 years the media victimizes the killer and not the people being shot. They make him or her to be a victim just acting out , making them infamous. We have people sending money to the killers in prison, even asking them to get married, that says a lot about our society .

Covid really awoken my eyes to how amazing the US and Republican ran states operate (not perfect if course). That is the closest to a "free country" in today's modern world, look at Australia and the UK with there draconian laws to keep healthy people in lockdowns. Lucky I live in sask which is very conservative and we have had minimal goeverment influence for covid now the same can't be said for Quebec, BC and Ontario. Either way we are getting off of topic and thread jacking, it's a sad case but second amendment should not be infringed.

Trust me, I'd rather go thru Covid again living in Australia than anywhere else in the world.
Draconian no. Tasked with protecting the population, yes. Did I agree with all of it, no.
Would I go through it again to control the spread and spare lives, you bet ya sweet ar$e I would

What's odd about this guy is he went into the bathroom instead of straight into shooting....I guess it was lucky for people that he did as with all this firepower he would have taken many lives.

Things like this put the government (any side of the government) in a tough predicament-they have to react to this but will look like the bad guys doing it the US 2nd Amendment says citizens have the right to bear arms, it doesn't specify what the arms should be. I had one person explain they have the right to bear arms equivalent to the government...I have yet to see a citizen own a Patriot missile system or an F22...

Toughening up at least weapon storage laws in the US might keep some weapons out of hands. I've been to friends homes in the US and they had weapons all over the place unlocked. There have been many cases where a youth took a weapon from the family home.

I agree for the unhealthy, sadly covid is going to be an endemic they've predicted it so by shutting down every time cases spike it will be a never ending circle, life will have to get back to normal look at the riots starting to happen in London. Healthy people shouldn't be lockdown and forced to close their business and not allowed to work out or exercise. If I was 80 years old and I seen the young kids not to be allowed to play sports or enjoy their life for my old life I'd sacrifice my self 1000% of the time hell even if I was 60. We have no sports going on the spring and summer again and sound like more lockdowns are coming (regina is already locked down).

Yoy need to get your facts straight .. It's nothing like that over this side . We're trying to save lives , but apparently you seem to have more insight that ALL the governments ..
Get a grip ..

(Some) people need to read the 2nd amendment. The first four words are: A well regulated militia...well, there aren’t any well regulated militias. Our government is too powerful to allow them even if they were well regulated. 2A has nothing to do with carrying a concealed semi auto hand gun or possessing an AR or having 30 round mags or most anything many gun rights advocates say it does.

Say I agree and certain guns and magazines need to be ban now, how would a government go about putting the cat back in the bag? Goverment would stop manufacturers but what about people with 3d printers and the already mass amounts of these items saturated in the populace. Stricter laws and "gun free zones" don't seem to stop people from shooting other people, Would it be a realistic goal? Could it be done in 1 year or 5 years or 30?

It's too late to stop it, that ship has already sailed.

There is no way of vetting people who buy weapons, anyone can act sane long enough to buy a weapon.

Enforcing stricter weapon controls such as storage and transport would help somewhat.

When a teenager has access to their parents weapons which are unlocked and generally loaded, it makes it just too easy for them to take the weapon and exact revenge on perhaps a bully or teacher, etc...if these weapons were stored properly and locked up, it would take that equation away.

To add to this, cancelling open carry of all long guns is another way to help...if a person is seen carrying a long gun it would then raise eyebrows and be out of place. For instance protesters showing up at a "peaceful" protest rally in tactical gear and assault style weapons should be something out of the ordinary and alarming, not just having people shrug their shoulders and say "oh well."

This is actually easy. If you are caught with one you get a $5K fine. Enforce that and people will stop getting the weapons and they will turn them in. No need to collect the guns in a dangerous confrontation. Each year the fine would increase. Get nailed and the IRS will just take the money from you. You will go on a watch list too in case you get wild thoughts of revenge. There will be a few problems but most people claiming that "you'll have to pry these guns out of my cold dead hands" are bluffing. When they get hit with fines they will give them up without a shot fired.

You have to complete a written test and a performance test to get a driver‘s license. You have to insure your vehicle to drive it on a public roadway. You have to register your car with the state to drive it on a public roadway. You have to do none of these things to purchase, possess or carry a firearm in many states in this country. Does this make sense to anyone? Why not require insurance to purchase, possess or carry a firearm?

Nobody has a clue as to how many weapons are out there in civilian hands....I recall after the Sandy Hook shooting the government was thinking on banning AR15s and some guy basically bought out Walmart of their AR15s....he had 10 or so in his shopping cart....

When the reporter interviewed him he was all wild eyed and livid the government would even consider banning these weapons so he was going to acquire as many as he could...my wife and I watched the report and she was astonished that a) you could buy AR15s at Walmart and b) a person looking as crazy as this guy did could buy a shopping cart full....

We have a pal course here in canada that is a great course and also hunter safety in my province both great course but what would stop me from buying a gun from someone illegally? The money fine will not work if someone is willing to shoot and kill someone they are not worried about the fine involved.

Hi what are you trying to do? May be we should ban screw drivers like the ones with the sharp point. Or even knives as they kill more people than rifles. All of the guns I have owned never killed anyone. It was all ways me pulling the trigger. Guns do not kill people, people do. I do think we should have a militias. Do not forget only a good guy with a gun can stop a bad guy with a gun, so I say we have a lot of good guys with guns.

I'll jump in for Arch...we could ban alcohol as it has killed many people too....we could go so far down this rabbit hole that the light of day will never reach us.

An average citizen going about their daily business carrying a concealed weapon isn't the issue, it's the crazies who get hold of an assault style weapon with high capacity magazines which this crazy got hold of-this is the problem..

What is the answer?? Well so far the answer is to equip police forces to look like spec ops strike teams so they can combat these crazies on an equal footing. This all does little to bring back the lives this crazy has already taken.

Maybe if the normal open carry of long guns was stymied, it would be harder for someone to walk into a store with an AR15 slung on their back.

I think there are lots of "good guys" with guns according to the CCW laws but putting guns in the hands of some of these people is more of a detriment then an asset in many cases.
