So, are you human and are your values similar to what you describe as animalistic behavior? Would you be capable of doing what Hamas did on October 7th? Would you be able to behave like a tribal warrior in Somalia and derive pleasure out of the act?

Going to how you started the thread, would you be capable of a similar act as we have just seen in the French quarter?

Or are you a balanced individual, nurtured with morals which teaches us to value human life?

Did you have lions, leopards, hippos and crocodiles on your farm, perhaps a few Grizzlies?

Agree 100%. Humans are often referred to as the most violent species on earth, due to our ability to reason. One has to however ask the question if that applies to you as an individual personally, which some here seem to be rather comfortable with. Count me out.

Talking from experience, I've been brought to the edge of acting in a manner not befitting my upbringing.....when your back is to the wall, it's amazing what you will react like......I, however have ethics and morals to guide me where there are many who do not.

...................and as I was not radicalized by some sort of terror group or cult such as Hamas (or the myriad of other groups deemed to be terrorists), I don't believe I would partake in an activity such as Oct 7th as a participant.....I would have however dispatched the aggressors (Hamas) in the Oct 7th attack taking neither pleasure or remorse in that act.

These "Somalis" don't derive pleasure out of what they do.....it is as natural to them as riding a bicycle is to you most likely.....and they are far from being alone......the list of similar people is far too long to discuss here......

The world is a violent place......humans are the catalyst to creating this violence......how can this even be a discussion?

You can't compare war to what happened in the French quarter.

We both have war experience, I prefer not to boast about mine or elaborate on my resume. Actually, it is something I would rather forget.

I grew up in South Africa, left in 1996 and outside of war have seen more tribal slaughtering than most, where human life means nothing. I lived through this, did not grow up on a protected farm in the first world being Canada. Outside of war, personally, I have never joined the violent club though, value human life and consider myself to have first world moral values.

Read Red's post once more, he has it right.

The whole point I was making is that humans are not a peaceful race.........something you have already alluded to in your own post........

I personally can't see what more can be discussed on the subject.....

Somehow you make it sound like I need to apologize for growing up on a farm........I left that farm at 17 and spent a lifetime serving my country in uniform and have lived an entirely different life than many....something else I won't apologize for by the way.....

Let’s recap.

The point was made that humans are the most violent race on earth.

I suggested we put “some” in front of that statement, as I do not consider myself as a violent person in the least bit.

You disagreed, which intimates that you believe you are, or can be a violent person.

You substantiate that by disclosing your military service, and you suggest you have taken human lives when reading between the lines. You even go as far as telling us how you have been trained to kill instantly.

While in the back of my mind, I may have similar memories to yours, I have worked very hard in the subsequent time of my life, to block those memories out, to forget about them, they are not pleasant, not something I will ever brag about. Something I have tried very hard to forget.

Perhaps that is the difference between you and me? Someone who has violence in his DNA and someone who does not?

Getting back to the French Quarter incident, no matter how tough times are and how badly a person may have been treated in one lifetime, to do what that persons did means he had no value for human life in his DNA. Something I really struggle to understand.
 
Fort Bragg special forces green beret combat vet and he built that silly bomb? As his uncle said he could have brought the building down with common items from Home Depot if he wanted.
Burned beyond recognition but his tattoos and.......two IDs survived?
Several guns in car purchased the day before? He had access to all he needed. Real intent to shoot a bunch? If so why blow up as soon as he arrived? His homemade bomb went off early? BS...again trained green beret combat vet. He could have made a bomb properly.
On leave from active duty in Germany as chief of operations for overseeing autonomous systems integration into the European theater. In other words he was DEEP INTO THE DRONES and what's going on.
Stateside for 3 days and his wife didn't know and had not spoken to him?
This one is even stranger than New Orleans.

I'm not believing ANY of it. He was dead already. The Tesla was remotely driven there and detonated.

This unverified email he sent 12/31 talks about China and their Gravitic propulsion systems being a checkmate for us.

I think our perception of ourselves is tinted somewhat by what we imagine to be our individuality. Most of us don’t like admitting our basic human tendencies or commonalities. It’s not a matter of morals as much as greed; instinctually we migrate to what makes us feel better.

Not all those guys are trained in making IEDs or ordinance.....most if not all would have a working knowledge of what makes them work but fabricating them is a different story.

Something is off though.....but what is anyone's guess.....the whole thing doesn't make any sense....with all the fake stuff on line these days, your attachment could be fabricated pretty easily....

I guess we will have to wait until the investigation is done to really know.
