The Grumpy's went down today

Here is a little humor from this, Grumpy's new nick name should be changed to Raspberry Ass!

Due the the fact that he has is a little tender there now!

Dave and Angela, I'm so glad to hear you're both going to be okay. It looks and sounds like things could've ended up a lot worse. I'm glad you had some good folks around to help you when it happened.

Please let Diane or me know if there's anything we can do to help you guys out. Prayers sent for a speedy recovery.

I guess in all fairness....after all, you did get renamed to GixxerTP for awhile

really glad your ok, from the looks of the bike things could have turned out much worse. sounds like the gear helped reduce the injuries.

I'm so sorry to hear this, but I'm glad you two are going to be OK. Sounds like a very scary few moments and thank goodness you had helmets on...

Heal fast!! Sorry about your Busa Dave :(

Man this sucks.. I am glad your both alive, could have been much much worse. Not many times you go down at high speeds that you get back up. That was some good quick thinking on your part Dave for getting the bike to somewhere safer. Glad to see your both ok..

Yes the bike is totalled, for sure.
It is insured but, Dave didn't have any extra coverage for what the bike was worth.
So it will be time to start over.

Is there anything that we can do to help with the difference?

Wow after hearing the descrip I'm glad it wasn't worse and you both are ok .
In the little time you had you didn't think to draw in the clutch ?

The whole thing took 3-4 seconds from "oh duck" to "dump it", all I thought was "don't hit them"

Ill be getting the bike tomorrow, and writing an estimate at the shop.

Im sure the bike is a total loss at this point, but we will see what the insurance company pays.

I will keep you posted, as thing happen.

Thank you all for the well wishes. It all happened so fast I really only remember a few details. Dave's quick thinking saved my life....and prevented more injuries of others. He's beating himself up over it, but he did everything right. Obviously I won't be riding any more this season, but we'll be at the Bash. I'm not missing it! Lol.

And to all those "You shoulda and why didn't you" get on your bike aim at something solid 1/4 mile away, snap the throttle wide open in 2nd or 3rd and dont let off. Now add 30% more power and add a spouse or child to the equation What comes to mind? Not trying to be a jerk but Its like watching football and yelling that you coulda done better when the QB F's up

Dave,
Do you have an electronic cruise control on your bike? Just curious.
