The Grumpy's went down today

And to all those "You shoulda and why didn't you" get on your bike aim at something solid 1/4 mile away, snap the throttle wide open in 2nd or 3rd and dont let off. Now add 30% more power and add a spouse or child to the equation What comes to mind? Not trying to be a jerk but Its like watching football and yelling that you coulda done better when the QB F's up

Dave, you're one of the best and safest riders i know. I am apsolutely sure you reacted with the best instincts. Do NOT blame yourself. Accidents happen.

Angela, i love your attitude! See you at the bash. All my love to you both.

I think we may need more HAPPY JUICE!

Blanca..open mouth, insert foot. Yeah good job.

Ace I asked because many here are much more experienced than I . If he and you took it wrong I apologize as I'm sure same thing happens to me a worse result would have occurred . Just trying to understand so if it does I'll be better equipped to handle it is all . In no way am I trying to armchair quarterback anything . I'm simply asking a question and no way was it a wisecrack or an inference he shoulda or coulda so please relax . Nothing wrong for me to better try to understand his train of thought is there ?

No, throttlemeister but we were under the tank last week, zip ties, and some wiring were added...

Proper gear that fits is the lesson and not cheap crap. I did ok, Angela was not as well equipped... it shows

I now think they are worth every penny of the $300+ that they cost!

Dave & Angela...
Always a bummer to log in & this is the 1st thread I read.
It goes without saying that the good news is you both are able to be up & walking after a crash like this!
I hope it doesn't detour you away from getting on a bike again. Obviously it will take some time
Heal up & get some rest.
Sure would like to find out what the cause was for the throttle to stick like that. Scary to even think about!

Blanca was not directed specifically toward you. Couple comments have been made and to anyone that is questioning it, this had nothing to with john and or the way he or I ride. Yes we play hard but this was in traffic and on a paced ride. Something just went wrong.

I feel better that you say that as I'm only asking a question and want to understand what happened . That's it . If we were sitting in a room together you would see I only wanted to learn from one others say is a very experienced rider . That's it . In no way was it a poke or a wisecrack comment . Just a simple question is all .
Again sorry for the crash and the injuries as well as the bike .
I hope the two of you heel up quick and get back on soon .

This will NOT stop me from riding. It goes without saying that neither of my parents were thrilled that I won't just throw in the towel. I could've gotten a broken wrist while in a car accident too. Does that mean I should never drive again? It will just be a while. Can't wait to get that new jacket I've been eyeing!
