The word "Christmas"

It's not the other religions being offended so much as the ACLU. In today's society Christmas isn't much different than Halloween. Everybody celebrates it, even non-Christians. Lawmakers and politicians want to do things like the above calendar, but ask them if they are willing to work thru Christmas. Dont think so.
A little history, as stated earlier, Jesus was born in the spring of the year. Six months after his cousin John the Baptist, who was born in October. Christmas was originally a Pagan holiday and the Catholic church, in an attempt to bring religion to the Pagans, changed the holiday to more of a "Christian" holiday.

Is it against company policy? If not, if I were you I'd do it myself.
What the heck is Xmas? Is that a new holiday that removes Christ from Christmas ?(Warputer @ Nov. 29 2006,01:26) It's one thing to not celebrate Xmas , but it's another to be offended by just the word ! That's rediculous .........
I'm not a bible thumper, but Christmas is just that.
I haven't heard anything lately, but with the recent election you might just see those phrases removed from new currency, because the idea has been floated for years.(badassbusa03 @ Nov. 29 2006,04:16) for all those other religions in the good ole US of A ........... do they boycot every piece of our currency? on every piece of currency in the US, there is a statement of "IN GOD WE TRUST". we never hear of these anti-religious people griping about the all mighty dollar.

Being offended by the word Christmas is as stupid as the Marine Toy Drive not accepting 4,000 talking Jesus dolls because they did not want to offend people of other religions.

They said no because they did not want to give a Jesus toy to a Jewish or Muslim family. Do these Religions even celebrate Christmas?? Would you not offend them by even giving them any gift for Christmas?
UPDATE - 11/16/07: Toys for Tots announces: "The Talking Jesus doll issue has been resolved. Toys for Tots has found appropriate places for these items. We have notified the donor of our willingness to handle this transaction.
Glad to hear that it is resolved. They must have received alot of flack over it.

It's the meaning of the season, without the birth of Christ, no Christmas. Without the reserection, no Easter! The question is why has it become such a heated debate over the last few years? Sign of the times maybe 
Well we allowed the X to replace Christ in Christmas. Its Santa who really steals the focus off the Birth Of Jesus and can't forget about the Easter Bunny stealing the true meaning of Easter. Even the Christmas Tree itself was a pagan thing. Allow the majority to make decisions and what you will have is a total elimination of God from every aspect of society.
