followed some bits and pieces, like Scar says "If you stay here, help guide others, contribute in a positive way, maintain an open, optimistic demeanor, things will change for the better." If it was a misunderstanding, you have apologized, things will improve, family does forgive and forget. They just don't expect you to do it again, OK?

Some people here don't believe me, thus I'm not welcome here and mistreated by several. Even though I've got a thick skin where thats concerned usually, its unbearable here. I've been depressed for the past two days, and I can't handle it anymore.

If I do leave, I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.:please: :cry:

I just wanted to see where I stood here...like BABusa said, I was assessing the situation.

I'll probably stay, but was worried about the way I was percieved...if I was just going to be outcasted, then logging/staying out would've been my better bet.

100% agree, but even friends here turned their back on me...thats why I was considering leaving.

But its not as bad as I thought...which is good.:bowdown:

This place is made up of many different personalities and opinions.
State yours with kindness and fairness and admit when you are wrong, which you have done. We are all entitled to our own opinions. Own yours and move on.
I started a thread a bit back and everyone but 1 disagreed with me.
I still hold my belief, and will not change it, but I also respect all of those who do not believe as I do, and my intention was not to convince anybody of anything, but only to state my opinion and see who else out there agreed.
I take a lot of value from here, and I try and add as much back as I can. I ask for help and I also give help. So should you.
This place is a family.
No family out there gets along 100% of the time. So it is here.

i dont know what you think you did but you should have seen the reply that i posted this morning about barak obama, if that didnt offend somebody i dont know what will....... dont worry about what other people think, if you say it was a misunderstanding then thats exactly what it was. My moto is: If they aint feeding you, f###ing you or paying your bills dont worry about them too much
 
bottom line: we are the ADD generation. we'll have forgotten ALL OF THIS by end of next week.

First off, we all make mistakes and we've all exercised poor judgement at times. That's life, some learn from their mistakes and some don't. That's just how it is. I don't hold what you did against you but will say you should have exercised better judgement. If you wanted to know what the boys over there thought, why not do a search for the bill on the internet, find a version of it on a government site then use that link to start the discussion. Nobody on either side would have had any problems with it that way and you most likely would've gotten the same comments and thoughts on it. When it comes to working law enforcement you have to do much of the same thing, it's called protecting your sources.

Now for the other thing. If you are upset because you think some here at the org don't like you, you better stay out of law enforcement. If you want people to like you I would recommend being a firefighter. Fact is people hate cops just because they are cops, doesn't matter if you are good and fair, they judge you by that one azzhat they dealt with 10 years earlier. It doesn't matter if they were doing wrong and it's your job to call them on it, it's still your fault because you caught them at it. The point I'm trying to make here is you are gonna need much thicker skin to survive as a LEO. You can't do the job without stepping on some toes from time to time and when you do, chances are that person isn't going to want to be best friends and thank you for taking him to jail.

Sorry if I'm a bit blunt and to the point but that's the nature of the job. I'm not upset with you in any way so don't take it as such.
