This new Busa is killing me!!!

I had the same problem. Here is what I did to solve my problem, and now I can ride for hours. Even the ride height. I lowered the front 1 inch, and the rear 2 inches. Now my bike is even and the pressure is off my back and wrist. My hands used to cramp up with the stock grips, so I ordered some thicker chrome spike grips off ebay, and that solved that problem. Now I have no complaints other then the heat of the engine burning my ankles, but that is tolerable. Everyone says ride longer and get used to it, but to me that is kind of pointless if you want the pain to stop right away. Even the bike out by lowering the rear and take that pressure off your wrists and lower back. I promise this has worked instantly for me.

That's a good idea, my neck is really my only issue. What's the best way to lower the rear??

Look at the soupy's lowering kit. You can choose the dog bone lowering links which is what I am using. Mine has three different settings. Or you can go with the adjustable links which is a tad bit more expensive but not much. Then the front I use the spacers to rise the triple tree cover. Here is the link for you.
Hayabusa Lowering Kit, Hayabusa Lowering Links, Hayabusa Lowering Link, Hayabusa Handlebar Risers, Hayabusa Comfort

But you can go a cheaper route. I bought my rear lowering links from ebay. I paid a total of 60 bucks to lower my bike.

That HAS to be detrimental to your handling, doesn't it? To corner better most raise the rear an inch more than stock, and you want your rear an inch lower than the front?

I'm not flaming, just curious is all.. It doesn't change the geometry of the bike, as far as legs/feet/handlebars. I'm thinking its only mentally helping you out.. :dunno:

I had same problem. Buell pegs, Genmar riser and Helibars helped, but frankly seat time is the cure-all. Over time your body will adjust.

Have to disagree with you on this one. Your fix worked for you and other "variables" specific to your body structure (height/weight/inseam, torso length), riding experience, etc. In addition to the "mods" you did (which helped/worked), saddle time also helps build endurance/tolerance and is NOT pointless at all.

Reminds me of training/practicing for anything.......like running for example. One cannot expect to survive a marathon based on having the best/right gear alone......LOTS of RUNNING to prepare the mind and body is essential.

Another example that us military types can relate to are hikes/humps/marches: because of the blisters and aches from earlier 3/7/5-mile humps, I was able to "tune out" the blisters from a 10-mile hike. I am 99.99% sure that NONE of us went on a 10-mile hump right away with about 80-90 lbs of gear/water/equipment/weapons strapped to our bodies and expected to survive solely because we had the best boots/packs/uniforms???

Got a corbin seat, Buell pegs, helibars bars, better grips, double bubble. I can ride to mars and back. Mods really help a lot.

Wow I ride the stock bike with no more problems then I have with my touring bike. My butt likes the busa better... My hands like like the cruise control on the touring bike. I can go about 6 hours before things get bad enough to hurt. Best way I found is to change riding possitions. I even put the front of my (kanles ok I am heavy) shins on the back pegs and lay on the tank.... Gives the hands and butt a rest...
