Thoughts on cruisers??

never ridden any cruiser but as for looks, Victory has my vote.

the v-rod muscle is a very nice cruiser and fast and torky. fun to ride. that would be my choice

All stock v rods I have heard sound like a vw bug. I got a local near my house that revs at me when he sees me, I can only shake my head and laugh.

Victory Vegas jackpot would get my vote. ( silly sounding name though)

**edit** maybe it was the 8 ball.

I had a busa and got rid of it in 2011 i think. Was amazing to own and i modified her nicely. my entire crew was comprised of busas so i was at home, but deep down, i always wanted a cruiser.

After deliberating for awhile i ended up getting rid of the busa and picked up an 07 harley sportster. can't afford to get a big displacement fullsize. :/

Anyhow, i modified her nicely too, and enjoyed owning and riding her. Thing is, riding with my crew became almost impossible.

I had a small harley crew to ride with which was kinda neat in itself, but it really wasn't what i thought it would be. all things considered, if i could, i woudl own both a cruiser and a sportbike. But here in ontario, insurance is stupidly expensive so one bike it is.

I recently sold my sportster and picked up an 04 busa. :)

And so it begins ...... again.....

thing is, i'm happy i made the switch but a bit sad at the same time.

i currently have a 95 softail that i bought about 4 yrs ago.. put on a 240 rear raked out lowered bla bla bla.. slowly modding the bike over the years,,,

nothing beats the feeling of an evo engine.. the ride is ok.. its just the old school feeling.. u feel everything,, it quite amazing imo..

newer harleys just don't have that feeling.. i would never buy new.. way to many aftermarket goodies to be done to those bikes..and dumping 16k just to put another 10k on mods..

another bike thats cool victory hard ball.. next one on my list..

well whenever i see harley riders they look like statues.i dont mind cruisin sometimes but all the time would be boring.somtimes i wanna get on it and make some cuts here or there or open it up on the highway.

its sounds like a lot of harley guys spend a loooot of money to feel the power.but you sacrifice alot when you get a cruiser handling power the ability to fit in really small places.

when me and my buddies hit the highway we have a blast in ways a cruiser cant

I would like to have a cruiser as a second bike for long trips but only as a second bike.i will never be without a busa unles s i get too old or too fat to ride.

Cruisers and sport bikes serve different purposes. I currently have a 13 Busa and a 13 Harley Wide Glide and I love them both. Each one serves me with a great rides and are enjoyable in their own right. If you try to do "busa" things on a harley, you'll be disappointed and if you try to do "Harley" things on a busa, you'll be disappointed. My harley is a great riding companion for my wife's SV650 and we can go out and cruise together and enjoy the ride.

Appreciate each one for what they are and don't try to make a Lion act like a cheetah.

Just my $.02

Having owned a busa 4 a few years and now riding a Nightrod as well I gotta say it's a different animal yes but it still has enough "OOMPH" to pin you to your seat @ wot. Is it as fast as my busa or most sportbikes 4 that matter? No... but considering the weight and 240 rear tire it's definitely no slouch. My nightrod is stock with the exception of a TAB slip-on so there's still a lot of meat left on the bone. There's always the option of SE cams, SE throttle bodies, Destroyer injectors and last but not least Trask turbo kits!

It might not never be a cheetah so 2 speak but it'll have no problem tracking down a gazelle....

Stock Harley's are way under powered, and the stock seats not so comfortable. Even the baggers. I bought a new Road King back in '05 for $18,800 bare bones....65 horse.

Added scream'in eagle stage one, race tuner, Bub Reinhardt true duel exhaust..95 horse...$4500.00. Couldn't get beyond 200 miles on the seat, my lady couldn't get 50 miles from the rear pad. Bought a mustang two piece $400.00. Now I can ride all day....instead of worrying about the rear seat comfort, I traded the lady in for one that doesn't *****...that was the most expensive mod....worth every nickel. Love the cruiser, and the 'Busa. I ride whatever I'm in the mood for.

Ok so my Busa is still under construction :stirpot:

So I've been racking up the miles on my Nightrod 2 compensate but recently another bike has caught my eye... and idk why but I want it in the worst way

The 2014 Victory Cross Country 8ball

Something about it just appeals 2 me, it's blacked out with absolutely NO Chrome!! Which I love!! I like the look of the HD Streetglides but hate the chrome :puke:

Those CrossCountry's are priced like $5k cheaper and have a $2K rebate going on right now. Never thought I would be a "Bagger" type of guy but after getting beat up by the wind and highway on my Nightrod a custom Blacked out Bagger may be just what the Doctor ordered

Any Orgster's have any feedback on this model Victory?? Yay or Nay....

I bought a Ultra Classic a few years ago and after the first winter I tore it apart and turned it to this...

It was a great bike to have a passenger ride with you... but it rode bad, accelerated bad, stopped bad, handled bad... and I was kind of bored on it. So I sold it this past Nov and had a B-King shipped from CT to IL.. bought it sight unseen and absolutely LOVE this bike... I'll get another bagger eventually.. maybe even sooner than later.. because my girlfriend really misses riding with me.. I just know if I'm forced to have only one bike I prefer the B-King over the bagger.

That bagger looks sweet!!!

Only I live up North where roads aren't exactly ideal 4 a bike like that lowered and bags 2inches from the ground :hide:

I would have 2 keep it stock height and rims. I see a lot of them baggers with huge 26" front rims. Looks cool but definitely not functional. I want 2 ride and be able 2 put some serious miles on it without having 2 scared 2 death of being taken out by a pot hole. That's kinda why I like that Cross Country 8ball, looks good and ready 2 ride straight off the lot. Needs nothing but gas and an azz in the seat

Nah I'll wait till the GenIV comes out

I do think I'm gonna stop in @ the Victory Dealership and schedule a test ride 4 that Cross Country 8ball
