Thoughts on cruisers??

I believe Mr. Bots owned one

I owned an M109R not the M90.. Same basic design, smaller rear tire, better swingarm design, LESS POWER...

Here's my 109.. I miss her dearly. Not enough to trade back from the Busa, but if I could ever afford both.. :beerchug:

Yeah I sat on a 2013 M90 yesterday and it felt pretty comfortable. Its still a massive bike! I think its a 1400 so that's still plenty of power. Like I mentioned they have that 0% interest for 5years on all suzuki's so I'm considering it. What's got me is the considerable difference in price vs the Nightrod I was looking at. Almost 5grand difference and that's a Big point to consider. Thanks 4 the insight Bots :beerchug:

1462 cc (89.2 cu. in) on the M90

The M109 is 1786cc

I switched from harleys to busa and find the busa more confortable than sitting on my tailbone. I know a rider who broke his back motocross racing and after recover he only rides sport bikes because the road pounding on his back from sitting upright is very painful. All in all for myself I find the busa the better choice for long distance riding.

I have to agree on the long distance ride comfort of the 'busa compared to the upright sitting position. But I am reminded of the 100 mile stretch from the lower part of Fl to Key west... going "slow" on a 'busa is no so comfy. In conclusion, since I apparently can not be completed satisfied with either choice I will keep keep one of each for as long as possible.

I know, right? They're not like the B-King where you can be just plain gay to ride.

I prefer the pirate outfit..

Oh my! Does this thread have legs. I thought I was out and they drag me back in:banghead:

I am a 100% American hetrosexual male. Ok - maybe except for that towel snapping incident at thirteen - anyway I ride a B-King proudly - original pipes and all. I am not gay ("not that there's anything wrong with that" -Jerry Seinfeld); however, if I were gay - brown leather chaps, a matching brown vest with fringe and leather "lasso" themed saddlebags would be my perfered cruiser motif. A cowboy look if you will...

BTW - you missed the oportunity to use the under appreciated :hijack: emoticon... Tsk Tsk

They look more manly when they're on one wheel passing a Busa:poke:
I can show you if you like...but give me a couple months, as mine is broke down at the moment:rofl:

I wouldn't mind cruisers so much if you didn't have to dress like a gay pirate to ride one.

yep..."role playing & posing" abound in the motorcycle world...which to me is the dark side of it all..from the panty waist teenager in the $1,000 one piece crayola leathers who freezes up in corners to the black leather clad tough guy carrying cialis, condoms and low-t meds in their fork pouch...i remember pi$$'in off some folks by accident when i swung by a HD shop to look at the 1125R Buell (remember when they sold those?) and while in the showroom my eye caught a sign hanging from the ceiling that read "Performance Boutique" and i don't know why but i laughed myself into a state of tears...especially looking..they had everything from HD Monopoly to HD Barbie Dolls...as i thought..real tough guys eh?

as i jokingly shouted out anyone for some $250 studded pink pleather chaps?

They were all looking at me really mean and hard..but nobody said a word..oh..i know...they probably had to much..."class"?

But alas..if i were a really fearful man?..i'd probably wanna belong to a gang as well..this way there's more than one of me...strength in numbers...i might also want to wear steel toe boots and have a buck knife dangling from my belt made of motorcycle chain..while my bike uses a cogged rubber band to get along. But then they HOLLAR.."But it's smoother and quieter!"..as their engines doing jumping-jacks in the frame while doning straight pipes that are 2 decibles shy of a sonic weapon! all while i never heard anything so loud take so long to just go away!

i dunno man...sorry for the rant..but all the real HD riders i once knew?..are all driving pickup trucks with wings across the rear window. ;)

Hey Jinkster how's that 1125r run? Passed up on buying 1 before and got my Busa instead so no regrets there...... But another 1 has came up 4 sale locally real cheap so I'm entertaining a deal

I can't say first hand...never got to ride one just sit on one but..i think it truely ironic that the 1125R became the belly up bike as HD kicked'em to the curb..as to me?..i didn't hafta ride it to know what it was about..the specs and the hardware spoke for themselves as the bike seemed to have the goods and made me proud to be an american for a moment...but great news..maybe..as it's rumore that Eric Buell passed on HD's offer to stay in house and went off and funded his own EBR 1190R which is the same 1125 rotax punched out to 1190 and the numbers on the 1125 were already pretty sweet..146hp/84ftlbs..with great performing everything else.

i wouldn't trade my busa for one..but i'd give it some serious thought if i lived in the mountains...as if i had my choice between an 1125R and an RC51?..i'd be in a serious state of confusion...and probably go with the buell.

I also own a Suzuki Vstrom. I absolutely love the bike. It does everything well, mountains, commute on, dirt roads, etc. U can get a new 650 for under 8K or they make a 1K too. I have a 650 and it does everything I want it to do. I'll put 15K miles on it this year alone, while riding the Busa too.

"Guess which one of us rides a cruiser?"
