Do you not find it odd that more than one woman came forward well after the affairs actually supposedly happened, and agreed to be paid to be kept quiet?

Let's say Trump did all of these, why did they wait til he was going to be a politician to decide they need to start talking?

Trump isn't the only powerful man that womanized. I'm sure many were kept quiet with $$. It was likely one of their motivating factors as to why it happened in the 1st place.

Noone should find this a shock. It's what the left wanted from day one. They've tried to not call them "illegal" for 3 years already. So now we just ignore that fussy statute formality, and just cut them loose.

I was in Houston about a year ago. You knew that was the direction things were headed. They had already released them into the wild. Stating we will contact you someday when your case comes up. Course if they ditched their ankle bracelets and the provided cellphones, everybody knew they'd just melt into the population.

The two things don't negate the other....

If the US wants a person like Trump who has questionable character, an adulterer, a vengeful ultra ego manic as their leader, who are anyone else in any other country to say anything.....?

If the US wants a guy who is on the verge of dementia and most likely has other people making the hard decisions for him, that's also on the heads of the people of the United States...

It's when either of these bring the world down with them where the other nations worry and rightfully so......the US has appointed itself as the police force to the world and in failing that would leave vulnerable countries and people in a very tenable predicament.......this is a huge responsibility and one not to be taken lightly.

Sadly, when a rich, powerful man of questionable character is involved, crazy things happen....was this entire "outing" sort of convenient? Sure it was, it doesn't however negate the fact that it occurred and on multiple occasions with multiple women.......a very sad state of affairs for Melania but perhaps she not only condoned these trysts but maybe participated herself.

And perhaps in his role as real estate mogul he posed a lesser threat than when he became the leader of the most powerful nation on the planet and therefore had the power to make people disappear.

Again....if THIS person with his questionable morals and values is the person the US wants as their representative to the world.....so be it.....

A $10M Bond was set.

Trump, paid back every loan, including interest. Not one bank was harmed. Nobody lost a dime in damages. Not one bank took legal issue with him.

When folks get caught with a tax audit, the additional taxes plus tax penalties are collected and the IRS auditors will probably keep an eye on your books for a couple of years. No one is prosecuted for that.

I know this as my business has fallen into this trap. In my case it wasn’t cheating, we were just guilty of not keeping all the needed receipts, and properly documenting some larger expenses. The IRS slapped us with a rather big amount as personal income, rather than business expenses.

There have been a few cases prosecuted in NY now, mostly charged as misdemeanors. Some of those are controversial and large corporations are starting to avoid doing business in NY as a result.

Trump in this instance, with all his faults, was targeted purely for political gain, felony charges in this instance are rediculous.

I should probably get out of this thread, it is not about the facts, it is about those who hate trump and those who love him.

I agree that these charges and the trial (s) are all a political attack on Trump and if it were anyone else, it would be a brief headline and then replaced by a dog judging the next day....

The point I made is Trump is definitely guilty, as per the thread title........is he deserving of all the attention this is placing on this particular instance...not at all......

I equate what is happening to him to a MotoGP racer in court for speeding on his civilian motorcycle....was he guilty of speeding? Yes but is he REALLY guilty.....? This is a person who made his entire life all about going fast safely on a motorcycle and is at an entirely different level than all other motorcycle riders...

I can guarantee if Trump said that he wasn't going to run in the next election, the charges would magically disappear.

There are 2 choices. Biden or Trump. I hate to say it, because yeah it's America, but a self centered, womanizing, narcissist, liar, convicted fraudster, did a better job than Biden, and will do a better job now.

How do you motivate kids to be proud of America, when these are the options?

I have made it known my intent is to leave this country as far as living here. For selfish reasons I made a lot of retirement $$ from Trump's first run. One more like that and I'll be able to cash up another level and be more comfortable in how I'll fund my retirement plan better.

That's the closest I can feel about my patriotic mood about the future of the country I was raised in.

However Americans chose him and Biden as their Republican and Democratic nominees respectively.

So the choice is between one guy who is way past his best before date and another who has some bad ingredients.

While this may have been impossible to prevent, which is debatable, under the new administration’s watch, we have record inflation, immigration totally out of control, two serious wars, an emboldened Iran, Russia and China, higher fuel prices as Amercan exploration has been downplayed versus EV’s and going green, and finally a justice system with political motives.

When it comes to judging people, sadly the only place you will find a “Jesus” is in the Bible. You won’t find one anywhere else. Everyone has a story.
