Well,
I finally got home from the visit to the Urgent Care,
Good news is I am on the downhill from having the Swine Flu, however the Dr said the most common sickness after a flu of any kind is Pneumonia, and the chest xrays confirmed the startings of it in my lower part of my right lung.
So a steriod shot in the left cheek, prescriptions for more steriods and an antibiotic and I am finally on my way to hopefully feeling a lot better in the morning.
The other good news is my blood sugars are finally down to normal. As a diabetic you know when your body is fighting something as your sugars generally get elevated.

Well both Greenbean & I have the Swine Flu & are sick as dogs. He & I have been corresponding between texts and short ph calls and just happened to contract it @ roughly the same time.
I am typing this in between my temperature spikes that as of last night, went as high as 103! Needless to say I felt as if I was in a bad pink Floyd video. Hallucinations and uncontrollable shaking= Not fun.
After briefly speaking w/ Zack on the phone, it sounds as if he is coming out the end of it. So that is good news. Although I know a day or two ago he was in bad shape.
My symptoms have included severe temperature, muscle cramps, and bad chest congestion. Dr. says the only thing you can do is alternate between Tylenol & Advil every few hours. That along w/ Mucinex DM and drinking as much liquids as humanly possible. Advil 800's I had on hand have been life savers!
The message I want to get across is that....for all those members that chimed in a few weeks ago in this thread https://www.hayabusa.org/forum/random-thoughts/117287-should-i-get-swine-flu-shot-h1n1.html and said they don't want to get the vaccination and they'll take "their chances". That they are in great shape and never get sick. (Well I believe Zack is in his late 20's and I'm in my early 30's and as far as I know we both are normally very healthy.)
I would ask that you SERIOUSLY RECONSIDER. This strain is no joke and is much more easily contractible.
If you choose not to get the vaccine when it comes out, well that's on you. But if you get it....trust me...you'll be wishing you had done otherwise.
Thanks guys.
This is the toughest stuff I have ever had to fight. Thanks for your prayers guys. I am looking forward to recovery and riding again asap.
To be a confirmed case of H1N1 flu, a blood test has to meet two standards. First, the blood test must show presence of influenza A, and second, the blood test must be sent to the CDC (Center for Disease Control) to confirm whether it is swine flu.
With the epidemic on the rise, many hospitals now have the ability to do the 2nd test on the spot. With results in less then 12hrs. I'll trust their diagnosis.
