Virginia Spring Ride 2006

I just got my new Powers mounted yesterday, so I'm ready. Hopefully I can do a little better keeping up with Paul in the twisties this time. (Assuming his bike is back together in time) This is my first set, and I have to admit they do lean really nice.

Oh, and one more thing. There is a Budget Inn just west of the Sheetz on 33 (walking distance) with cheap rooms. I just reserved a double for Friday night for $49.00

No problem on the screens. I'm actually booked solid this week as well. As for the rain, I'll wait until Friday before I get concerned. Half of the time the weather experts can't even get it right the night before.

Dang folks!!! I was really looking forward to getting in the saddle!! Oh well, I was concerned about the weather forecast last week and I wasn't much interested in running the twisties in the wet! I'm out for the April 22nd rain date...I'll be in Cape May doing the jazz thing! It also looks like I'm done for all the weekends in May with the exception of the first weekend in which I may or may not attend a rally that's in my neck of the woods. If anyone is interested in doing the same route Monday, tuesday and/or wednesday next week or any other time during a couple of weekdays anytime this month or in May we could possibly set something up...we can start another topic if there is interest. Meanwhile everyone ride safe and enjoy even more safe!!

Well, I'm very bummed this morning after checking this thread. I have been really looking forward to this ride. Anyway, I'm out for the 22nd as well. That is Laurel's birthday and we'll be out of town at the outer banks for a mini-vacation.

There's a place called Lamont's that locals refer to as "the bottom" that is having an event the first weekend in May. It's actually being called a camping weekend. Don't have much more info than this, but since I'm so close I was planning to check it out...if and when I get more details I'll let you know...
