Virginia Spring Ride 2006

Shucks guys ... how about 15th then?? What good is the ride without Paula and Warren chasing each other for the lead spot?? Is the 15th doable for most people??

How about we push back to May 6th? More time to let everyone rearrange their schedules.

I can do the 15th as well. What better way to celebrate Easter than a motorcycle ride through the clean spring air, soaking up the beauty of nature and a new season of rebirth. OK, so I'm rationalizing a bit, but as long as I can go to church on Sunday, I'm fine with Saturday. Besides, I'm not sure I can wait until the 6th. Either way, let's do another rollcall/vote for either the 4/15 or 5/6. As far as I know now, I can do either, but would prefer the 15th.

hmmmmm either one is fine with me, although, Warren maybe we could ride to Romani(sp) then up to pawpaw and back or something with DJ, Ballplyr53, Jeff and Todd? Then do the ride on the 6th in Harrisonburg...

Someone set a date. I need to watch Paul go nuts on the mountain.

Me? haahaa you're the one good with the curves...your screenname should be "Easy-E" haahaa
Last Thursday had a couple of the guys from .net on 600's surprised though, they couldn't shake me... They wanted up front to hit the twisties.. ;o)

Whenever we decide, i'm gonna be stock WB & height this time so i can hang some turns.

If we're voting, I like Tom's idea of May 6th ... more time to plan and a better chance of warmer weather too:)

On second thought, May 6th does sound like the best option. I guess the voice of reason that comes with age and experience supercedes youthful exhuberence and enthusiasm. (Many thanks to our elder statesmen Tom and D.J.)

Let's hope the April showers will indeed bring May flowers and dry roads.

In the meantime, I'm game for Paul's suggestion of a less formal ride on the 15th. Sheetz in Winchester at 10:00am? (1-81 exit just north of the Rt. 7 exit) Anyone?

Put me down for 50% for the informal ride on the 15th ... if I'm not there at 10 am sharp do not wait for me.

Also if May 6th is good for both Pauls, let's go ahead and make that decision right away so everyone can start planning for it.

Where would the ride in winchester go? Twisties? Is it long? Let me know, I might make it...

Why don't we follow more or less the route of the last Spring ride. South towards Seneca Rocks, then east towards Franklin. Yamahor could bail onto 33 there and head south to get home. Thoughts?

well, If I met yall up there, I might trailer it (2 hours on the interstate on a 900 ain't my idea of fun), if I do trailer it, I'll be on the whole ride.

*UPDATE* The ride is now scheduled for May 6th, same time, same route.
