Wax on Wax off

Re: I "Pledge" my allegiance

what if your bike has been dirty now for 4-5 years...ie brake dust and chain sling...do i have to do a detail clean to start then apply pledge from now on?...cuase i would have to strip the wheels off and detail hand clean them...just to begin to get them somewhat respectable

My all time favorite sig line: from Charlesbusa

Proud owner of the filthiest Busa on the board.
If there's time to clean it, there's time to ride it!!

Re: I "Pledge" my allegiance

Glad you like it, too.

That's what I'm talking about when I said it takes me like 5 minutes to do the wheels. I know it's hard to believe when you haven't done it but that's all it takes me.

What are you waiting for?

That's what I love about it. Like what I've said, sometimes I only use a duster when I get home. It's that easy.:beerchug:

in less than 5 minutes. I mean, c'mon. What would you rather do? Spend about an hour trying to clean the whole bike with other stuff or Pledge it in like 15 minutes or less?

By the way, that yellowish color is just the reflection of the grass.

Those rims are SICK ! I LOVE your bike !

You probably have to do a detail clean to start. Sorry, but I've never experience getting my bike that dirty.

what's the "pledge" deal on chromed/polished parts and pieces??
It's safe. I've been using it on my pipes/mid pipes, too.

Thanks, kenn. I love her very much, too. How about more pics for ya? Mind you, these pics were taken maybe close to 70-80 miles away from home and she still looks clean. Aaaahhhhhh the power of Pledge. Sorry, I have too much spare time since I can't go out and ride.lol

In this pic, I'm showing you all the power of Dupont chain wax. Chain has more than 3,000 miles on it. If I didn't start using it, I would probably have a hard time keeping the rear wheel clean. Thanks again, Mike1180 for recommending it.

One of my all time favorite pics of the wheel.lol Chain wasn't cleaned yet in this one.

You guys are probably wondering why I'm here posting and not riding at this time of the morning. That's because it's WET out there. If not, I'd be out there riding right now.

Re: I "Pledge" my allegiance

All of this recent talk about pledge convinced me to give it a go. I'll be honest. It wasn't nearly as good as the waxes and polish I use. It may be because I have fiberglass fairings and non OE paint. Maybe it's because the condition of my paint isn't considerd new. I don't know the reason why. Even the items I have powder coated didn't feel as slick as when I use a good wax. It did help to make the finish feel smooth but only a by a small degree. The final wax I use made it feel butter smooth.

Re: I "Pledge" my allegiance

07 Blue is definately the fastest color, especially when equipped with lemon fresh scent of plegde. Blue+Pledge = 0 drag :moon:

as soon as I pledged it i took it around the corner to my friends, hopped off the bike and said, "Smell it!"

Re: I "Pledge" my allegiance

Cyclists have been using Pledge on their bicycle frames for as long as I can remember. Works great and believe it or not but you can actually use it on wood furniture too!

As I mentioned earlier I've used it on all the bicycles I've owned in the past.:beerchug:

Re: Hey Sleeper-Red Blanca took the Pledge

I got the plexus but you better believe that it's pledge after my plexus is gone

Re: Hey Sleeper-Red Blanca took the Pledge

Hey Sleeper any recommendation on removal of Bird Poop? :poke:
Me and a bird got very intimate during a ride earlier with Big E

Pledge!!! That's why I carry a can with me.

It removes just about anything. Bird poop, bugs, dust, dirt, you name it. I clean my shield with it every time I stop for gas.

Didn`t even see it coming? Did ya?

Bombs away!!! :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Yeah it was a surprise!

Over a hill and then this low flying Robin? (saw red color) just flew in front of me!

If I did not duck down I would have hit the bird head on! :moon:

Re: Hey Sleeper-Red Blanca took the Pledge

It was raining today and Sleepless Red came by and cleaned my chain:cheerleader:

The Dupont chain cleaner/wax works!

I attempted to clean the sprocket. Not bad for a newb! Need to be more thorough like Sleepless and Blanca

Thanks Sleepless! Glad you live close by me!
