Wax on Wax off

Re: I "Pledge" my allegiance

Does it have to be Lemon or will any Pledge work?

Not sure about the other ones but I've been a fan of Lemon for over 30 years. I've used it on just about anything that I want to shine. Audio stuff, bicycles (I've had a few), car wheels, etc.

Re: I "Pledge" my allegiance

Folks, check this out. I just copied this one from the FAQ section of the CZ website.

Here it is:

What's the best way to clean/care of Anodized Finishes?
Working extensively with our vendors, they recommend using "Pledge" Furniture Polish. This might sound odd but it does wonders to Anodize.

I got it from here. After you click on it, scroll down to question #4. It's funny...I've been using Pledge way before I saw this.

Re: I "Pledge" my allegiance

Hi Kenny,
Yes, it was over a year ago when someone here mentioned using Pledge on the rims only, and I started using it (Rims ONLY) and I have been every since. I only use it on the rims, it makes them easier keep clean too. I like McGuire's on the shell, and only Plexus on the clear plastic.

Looking Good Leks.

Bubba

It was longer ago than last year, 2006 I think ?? They were talking about water being bad for the bike.

Is there a difference between wax, and polish ?

Re: Best Polish-Wax for Motorcycles

same wax you use for your car will work juts fine for your bike.

Re: Best Polish-Wax for Motorcycles

i took the "pledge" yesterday, done rims and some of the plastics, just got back from paint..another thread. Will try it on my face shield soon. Nothing seems to stick to the "pledged" parts

Re: Best Polish-Wax for Motorcycles

ive used many different waxes over the years and over all the best i have come up with off the shelf is meguiars. however by far the finest wax ive used is pinnacle souveran carnuba paste wax. no wax ive tried gives the same depth of shine as this. especially for darker color paints. its pricey though. but its all up to the individual and how each of us looks at it. its difficult to see the diff. between them sometimes

Re: Best Polish-Wax for Motorcycles

I truly think Pledge stock has risen since 23,000 members have been sold on it

Same wax you use on your car is fine but Pledges secret agent salesman Sleepless_Red has got us brainwashed on the stuff...
I'm sure hes collecting royalty fees now, sure of it.

Being from Florida I like the Orange scent but others swear by the Lemon.
(boy does that sound weird for advice on motorcycles) ???

Re: Best Polish-Wax for Motorcycles

I started using Pledge and I will say that is all I will use on the bikes and helmet from now on. Gives a deep look to any dark color. Its fantastic:thumbsup::thumbsup:. Try it you wont regret it. Just look at Sleepless_reds bike. I was skeptical but now I pledge.:cheerleader:

OK. Here she is again....almost 2 years/8 months old. Wheels were purchased in December of last year. The first 3 pics were taken near Cumberland, MD so she's not 100% clean.
