Weather Where You Are

I just got home, about 4" now.
Took the kids sledding, and lots of donuts, fugure 8's, and drifting on the truck.
Had a couple young chicks come up to me in an empty parking lot and asked me how to do that...I had to tell her to turn the traction control off in her 4 door Jeep, and a few steering and counter steering tips, and she did pretty good then.
The windows were down and lots of screams, lol
They were both pretty and flirty too, but I'm married and know how to behave myself...still felt good though...old man's still got it, lmao
Good on ya for corrupting a whole new generation of hooligans......

It's been raining off and on for a week here now, 39mm yesterday, 20 the day before, 15 the day before. It doesn't sound like much but it's raining like that for a month probably, all the dams across the region are full and the ground is sodden. I just got back from a late night bicycle ride up the country highway. The side road I take has a bridge over a creek a ways up and it was closed, a foot of water rushing across the top. I turned back, the ride cut short by 6km and was caught in a short downpour soon after. Potholes appearing everywhere!

Tomorrow if it's fine I'll take a busa out for a little ride but it'll be a watchful one with all the gravel and holes. I'll take the good main route and not the twisty forest sections I love. We might get another Big flood up in the capital Brisbane this year, all we'll need is a cyclone and the latter depression sitting over the catchment of the main dam and it's over rover for those poor bastards along the river and in the flood plains.

Hopefully all that rain will negate the issue of wild fires this year.......

Boy that was quick! You must be sitting at the computer.
It's 3am here now, I keep weird hours myself, will probably go to bed at 9am after a ride :D
We haven't had bad fires for 3 or 4 years now, back to back La Niñas. They are Pacific wide and when they are the cycle California burns and your dams run dry but it's the opposite here on the north east coast of Oz.

I just checked it, then went back outside and am back in again....

It's 1300 here....

My wife just got back from a Prague, Vienna, Florence, Pisa, Barcelona trip.
She’s long said she wanted a Winter in Europe trip, cold weather, Xmas markets etc.

I’ve had way too many years of long haul Australia - Europe flights and Northern hemisphere Winters so I turned down what would have been a free vacation.

She took her daughter and had a great time. Now she’s home we are planning a more local trip together, back to Cambodia or Thailand again, shorter flights, warmer weather.

I had a very relaxing peaceful Xmas at home in the sun. Walking the dog, watching the occasional summer storm roll in over the hills. Sitting on a plane for 20+ hours to be cold for 3 weeks is my idea of Hell.

Still highs only in the 20's and 30's F,
and lows in the teens and 20's.
Some patches of ice in shady spots still on the roads, and still very windy.
I want to ride, could, but don't currently have the motivation, lol.
The temperatures and conditions tend not to bother me, but I'll wait for 40's and no wind....and I don't belive the 48° the forecast says for today either, lol

30 degrees C / 86F heading out to breakfast this morning.
33 C / 91 F on the way home. Beautiful day.
Went to another country town, nice empty country roads.

Warm again today !

Despite the Gen-3 and Gen-2 sharing the same frame and swingarm, having the same size engine, and being on the same theme, there’s a lot of differences between a stock Gen-3 and a slightly modded Gen-2 and they are surprisingly different to ride. To me they offer something different to each other and are both good bikes in different ways.
