WOW, You're going to be really happy when you're done.

I once traded my landlord putting in a new kitchen floor for a month's rent. I figured those "snap together" looks like tile things couldn't be that hard right?

That was the LONGEST MONTH of my life. Great learning experience. I learned I don't like doing manual labor for others, I'll stick to just working on my own stuff.

Can't wait to see the end result:thumbsup:

Looking great!!!! Way to salvage the original cabinets! Are you going to change the handles?
Yea but so far not a clue as to which ones... them suckers are $$ too.. going to take $200 at least to change them all out... bout crapped my pants on that one..

Looking good Randy!
Thanks James, the advice on the transition paid off big for me.. I tore out the old strip all together after you told me what was there.. put in a straight strip and cured the "carpet bulge" issue to the laminate.. I will get you pics later

how long of an area do you have where it transitions from carpet to laminate? I took a 1x4 piece of red oak and worked it down similar to the cheaper pieces of trim they sell at lowe's and home depot, stained it to match the rest of my trim then predrilled the top so that the screws sat flush and screwed it down. Took some time and precision measuring so that if fit right but it worked out great and looks exceptional.
