WestCoast/Central Hayabusa.org trackday

(Devil Dog @ Nov. 29 2006,13:08) it was actually kinda clean for the last ride

It ONLY gets washed for trackdays.

They take videos and pictures at trackdays

(Wag @ Nov. 29 2006,14:17) Okay, okay, okay!!!  You guys win!!  As long as I can get the time off, I'll be there.

Oh, hell, if I can't get the time off, I'll play sick or something.

But the costs are more than that.  I still have to buy a one-piece suit.

Now I can get excited about it!

(Charlesbusa @ Nov. 29 2006,09:35) WWJD just PM'd me and said Aug-Oct works for him as well.

Since September's averages are the most comfortable temps both high and low, lets plan for September.

What days in September aren't possible for you guys.  Sep 3rd Labor Day??       etc....
September is GREAT pick a weekend Chuckles...I'll be there

+10000000000!!!!!!!!!!

The track organization I usually run with, Fastrackriders, did a weekend over there last year. However, they posted their 07 schedule and MMP is NOT on the list. They are affiliated with sportbiketracktime so they may have MMP next year. We shall see in the coming months.

If this goes down and I am still in the Mainland USA I'll be there. Hell I'd trailer to Atlanta as well as long as I'm not already sitting in Germany. I'll be watching this develop. Of course, I would throw out the Arroyo Secco track in Deming NM as a nice option (plus its only 2.5hrs from my house ).

OK boys here we go!!!

I talked with http://www.apextrackdays.com/ and he said if we get more than 5 riders we can work out a group discount.

The dates are Sep 2nd and 3rd.  East loop 1 day and FULL track the next
biggrin.gif
You don't have to ride both days, but I would recommend it!
biggrin.gif
This is Labor Day weekend.  No one has said it would be a problem.  So if you are DEFINATELY going and can't do Labor Day, speak up now or forever bite your tongue
tounge.gif

Prices if we don't get a discount;
Full track $235
East Loop $215

Apex runs 2 groups, Beginner and Advanced.  1/2 hour on and 1/2 hour off and a 1 hour lunch.  Inside and outside passes allowed in both groups, the difference is a 6' safe pass in Beginner and just a safe pass in Advanced.

Ok, so now we need a list of who's definately going.  The "definately goings" are the only ones I can promise a group discount to if we get more than 5 riders.  If you end up deciding to go later, let me know first and I'll try to work out the discount if I can.

Don't sign up on the website yet.  If we get more than 5 riders, I'll end up signing everybody as a group.

Soo, who's coming??

Let me know when you get a deadline for the group discount. I'll know for sure at the end of January.

I definately want to go. How soon do you need a definate yes. This will be at the new Miller track in Utah, right. Are you guys trailering or riding. I have a two piece suit that zips together, will that work. Also, if you guys are going to button willow I'd like to make that one.

Charles, how soon do we have to pay for this. I definately want to go. I saw the pic of track and that is awsome. Motivating just to think about getting to ride a track like that. I'm going to try and do a few track days here in Phoenix before going to Utah to get myself a little more prepared. I'll probably be on the beginners side to start with since I have never ridden track at all. I'm from Arizona, so temps in 80's sound good to me that time of year. We're still in 100+ temps here in Arizona that time of year. Sign me up charles, I'll find a way to do it. Oh yeah, heres a pic of me and my new Busa.

Don't know when a definate yes will be required. If you don't make the first deadline, you will PROBABLY still be able to get the discount, just can't promise it yet.

This will be at Miller. East loop on 9/2 and the full track on 9/3. If you can only make one, I suggest the full track.

A 2 peice that zips together should be sufficient. I'll get everything Apex requires and post it up.

Rich and I are trailering up separately. If my wife doesn't go, I can trailer up one other bike.

Rich and I are planning a buttonwillow in April/May. No date yet.

Trying to plan 9 months in advance is a bit of a trick since work doesn't schedule our travel more than 3 months in advance. The weekend being a holiday isn't a problem. I deninately want to be there. When do you need the absolute answer and $$$?

Don't know yet. I need to find out how many "definates" are going so I can work out the group discount. I'll post up payment info once the price is set. Most trackday organizers want all the money when you sign up. But being that this is 9 months in advance, we'll probably be able to work out a deposit and remainder payment. Just don't know yet.

Aaaaahhhh I guess I'll go....BOTH DAYS WOO HOO CHUCKIE NICE WORK SON

I need as many "definates" as possible to work out the best discount I can.

We're planning out this far because I have to assign my vacation time now if I want to be gauranteed of having the time off. And we want to get as many members as possible on this event.

The discount will probably apply to others after the first definates book the trackday. Just can't promise that.

Apex said they normally sell out 2 months in advance, and for popular tracks/configurations they have sold out as far as 4months in advance. Best to book the day in advance and sell off your trackday if for some reason you can't go. *Disclaimer* It is "normally" no problem to sell off trackdays. But don't bet the farm on it. It is a risk that you could be stuck paying for a trackday you can't attend.

Abesolute answer as soon as possible, won't know when money is due or how much of it until I work out the group discount.

Before I can work out the discount, I need at least 4 other riders as definates. More than 4 might allow for a bigger discount.

Hey Charles, thanks for all the work on this. Anyone know where its possible to rent a bike trailer or, buy one at a good price.

If you don't mind an open trailer, mine is, you can rent one from u-haul. That's how I got my busa from FL to CA. You can buy some rail trailers anywhere from $300-$1500/ They're normally kits that you build.
