What Did You Do To Your Busa, Today?

I wanted to weld aluminum plates over the bracing of the OEM Busa swingarm but my welder (shipyard guy, teaches metals) said that heating the arm to weld the plates on would probably make the arm weaker. I was looking for stiffer but mainly a beefy look. Decided not to risk it.

You know sport bikes are getting longer too. Because of the huge power they have these days, they are getting longer. I was surprised when my buddies Panigale was nearly as long as the Busa side by side (56.6 vs 58.3).

Working on fuel system. Little blue for you @jeffgordons24

Prob should of gone red.

We use this stuff when welding aluminum to prevent heat transfer.
Some guys were skeptical so I sprayed a sheet of paper placed on the palm of my hand and proceeded to heat it with a torch lol.
If done right the plates would not disrupt the integrity of the arm and would certainly reinforce it.

Black fan shrouds?!! Did you run out of blue powder??!!!!! Lol!
Lol I actually have stringent checks when it comes to adding the color to my bike. As much as “I” love the blue, I don’t want to overdue the blue and make it gaudy or tacky.
The plan is to Keep the driveline black I went with black and silver chain, black brake lines, black swing arm (added touches of blue to it with the sliders and the chain guard)
Front gender will be CF, if I end up putting a chin spoiler back on it will be CF, (that damn thing scooped up more rocks than a bulldozer) when I get a hugger it will be CF. I try to envision the finished product as much as I can. I only hope it looks close to as clean as @c10’s bike does.

Lol I intend on going ape as you say through the turns, although I am only extended about 3.5 inches over stock. My reasoning was shear aesthetics, I don’t particularly like the wheel so far under the tail, and as @c10 said I like the open-ness of the modded arm. Some day I will have a pretty shock to oogle over and clean.
If I do find the arm to be restrictive in the aspect of my riding I will prob buy new sliders and bring the wheel inward closer to stock. If I still am unhappy I’ll mod my original stock arm to be tidied.

It does look good Steve , the bike is looking real sharp . Just go easy for awhile around the bends till you got it all sussed out, just to err on the safe side . But , I bet you will easily be able to smoke that tire leaving the turns , and punching it on the straightaways !!

We will find out once the weather is warmer than 6 degrees. Lol it’s too cold I hate this weather!!

I think a little blue on fan shrouds poking through fairing openings would’ve looked good, but you are correct, don’t want to go overboard.

I agree too much is just too much...and you have the blue under lights.

Long sleeve superhero compression shirts arrived too.

I'm wear them to parking lot meet ups, rallies and bike nights with the War Machine helmet.
