Steven that arm looks nice . Like how the top has been cut off for a clean look . Wonder if you will notice any flex now .
I was thinking the same, I will keep you posted on it. It feels pretty solid but my mind immediately begins to wonder the reasoning that Suzuki had for putting the high top with the over bracing.

I don't think the flex is a problem on drag bikes. The bike is not leaned over under power (turn exit). If you want to ride the twisties, that arm might flex. Probably still rideable though.
A drag length arm is certainly not what you wan't for cornering , and as a lot of modded Busa are fitted with them , I imagine most don't go ape when confronted with such roads .
Personally , I really like those more beefy built aluminum extended swingarm ( braced ) , maybe on my next build , but I got a different arm altogether ordered up for this current L2 Busa .

I'm out of town, and only have a phone. So my reply will be short. Earlier GSXR's had arms with no bracing. I'm currently considering trying a 2002 gsxr 600 arm my friend has sitting on a shelf. Reason weight, and a touch shorter wheel base. I'm one of the guys that could tell if it Flexs to much.
If it does I could add under bracing.
Would like to have the top portion open for eaiser access to my shock.

GSXR11's also had a lot less torque and hp off the shelf . You can have an extremely strong unbraced aluminum arm , depending on the aluminum used and the section form . Chrome molly is what you are looking at c10 isn't it , well that could be nearly tooth pick thin compared to aluminum and match it .
My next arm is fully braced aluminum , with big extrusions sectionsfor main arm . It is supposed to be 6.6kg , either 1-2kg lighter than stock , I have two conflicting readings I have read on hear , and have not been able to verify anything yet .

Toad I have a builder willing to make me a chromoly arm in stock length that will be 9 pounds lighter than stock. Price 700 bucks
US. Now if the GSXR 600 arm is light and little flex it would be Free ;) if it needed bracing I have a guy that could do it for 150 dollars. Powdercoat it through another friend for 50 bucks.

Most of the aftermarket arms are internally braced. Length will obviously increase flex, but those who ride the bike hard and are experienced enough to know what it feels like, as opposed to say tire slippage, probably aren't going to have a longer arm anyway.

Lol I intend on going ape as you say through the turns, although I am only extended about 3.5 inches over stock. My reasoning was shear aesthetics, I don’t particularly like the wheel so far under the tail, and as @c10 said I like the open-ness of the modded arm. Some day I will have a pretty shock to oogle over and clean.
If I do find the arm to be restrictive in the aspect of my riding I will prob buy new sliders and bring the wheel inward closer to stock. If I still am unhappy I’ll mod my original stock arm to be tidied.
