What Did You Do To Your Busa, Today?

jacked up the rear end with 2 floor jacks, removed the rear tire, removed the sprocket, cleaned the rear bearing, cleaned the chain, and cleaned the rear rim. I then reassembled the rear with new cush drives from @POWERHOUSE, regreased the rear bearings, and adjusted the chain tenstion. Just a general question, is roughly 1/4 inch of movement enough? Im a little worrried i may have her a little snug.

Yeah a quarter inch is a lil snug. Sitting on it will make it even more so. Most worry about chain tension too much IMO and having it too tight can be far more damaging to the chain and the front sprocket carrier than a loose one. Relax it a bit and pick up a rear stand when you can. :D

Put it in the living room since id rather stare at it than a TV. LOL Used the time to clean it up!

Why did I wait so long like 5 years of sometimes having warm start issues on my 08 Finally put in a lithium 290 CCA battery and the problem is solved not to mention 3 kg in weight savings
Great to hear you have cracked it!
What was the actual problem with warm starts?
Was it slow cranking? Or taking a longer time to fire than normal?
Sometimes my warm starts are like first revolutions of the cranking are slow, then picks up to normal speed then fires and runs. Annoys the crap outta me!
My battery is 6 months old, but is a yellow Motobatt, I really wanted a Yuasa but settled for the motobatt.... was half the price of the yuasa.
What did you pay for the lithium?

Kiwi it was very annoying for me to had a suspicion it was the battery but cold starts were no problem go figure ? sometimes after a ride I would pull up to a servo get fuel jump on the bike and it would not start had to wait 10 15 minutes to cool the motor then it would fire up ? I also had the Motobatt which had a lower CCA than the battery I fitted here is the brand and part no got from ebay at a good price SSB LITHIUM ULTRA LITE PART NO LFP14H-BS

If memory serves me correct, SSB are a good 'ol aussie company. Been making batteries for a while now.
I was tossing up between them and the motobatt. Decided in the end go motobatt and the thing weighs a tonne

Nothing directly on the bike but did manage to get the main ramp installed and painted on the elevator lift - still have to cut / drill / install the two smaller side plates. Am planning on storing the bike in the basement of the house over winter as the garage is overflowing with too much crap. Also need the lift to install an older Colchester lathe downstairs but will have to sneak this in when nobody else is home :)
