What Did You Do To Your Busa, Today?

Seemed like something to entertain myself even if it doesn't do much lol

Added a Woolich tuner, ordering new stainless lines finally and an adjustable kickstand since the bike has a lowered kickstand and the bike is at stock height.

Finally time to continue the journey of fixing up this old turd. Also realized I need to do some cleaning, there is polishing compound everywhere!

So again you guys won’t believe this. I am giving away all my tools to the local high school. After doing all that work and putting on the gold on everything, I just decided today to take it for a rip.

I didn’t screw in the grounds into the starter, I left the main air line off the air to air intercooler, I didn’t put the key thing on the trunk so I had to do that fun thing that you’ve all done before. Screws were loose. And the battery in it was dead.

I emailed Frank and he made my day. I explained everything the bike was doing and his reply was “Sounds like you did something wrong” I busted out laughing. It was exactly what I needed to hear.

So despite all that crap the bike still ran. I got up to 150 in 5th but the minute I put it in 6th it would just stop there and not go any faster. Maybe just maybe because it wasn’t getting any air since it wasn’t connected.

I am a hot mess. I take two 10mlg of Valium daily and I think they are slowly turning me into a vegetable. Unfortunately for the time being I need them but holy crap.

Decision made. They're gone. Looked more closely and one of them is actually touching the fairing. Pulled the outside part and will pull the brackets next time I have the fairings off.

How do you like the bar-end mirrors? Do they work with a throttle-lock?

I've read a few threads on the t rex sliders having one of them touch and I think there was a certain way that they had to be done to keep it from touching or something. It took awhile for the looks of the t rex sliders to grow on me but I finally decided I like them enough I want to get a set or maybe a knock off version at some point when finances allow because there's no way I can bring myself to cut my fairing. I just ordered a set from httm to install on my buddy's cbr so I'm going to see their quality and hope it's good, I thought i remembered seeing they offered a set for the gen2 awhile ago but now I only see for the gen 1 so might be stuck with the t rex when I do get them.

It’s ok quality. the hole for the set screw on the slider strips easily and they did not have any warranty on it. Part of the fairing was scratched when it tipped over so the slider worked a bit. I wasn’t too happy with the rubbing of the fairing but i think it‘s better than having to drill into it. It was the only brand that you didn’t have to cut the fairing which is why i went with it.
