What did you do to your Gen 3 today?

Core moto clutch line installed and bled, Boost By Smith ABS delete in and wiring tidy/all brackets removed finally.

Broke my filter off of my crank case breather because I’m a Neanderthal. Overall so much cleaner under tank and so much room for activities.

Tried to find the MM tune thread, but gave up so this works for the story too...

Rode to/from work last Thursday. Friday morning I miss 2 office calls from a guy inside the plant so called him back... I knew he was behind me a few cars leaving work when I was on the bike, since no traffic decided I'd let him hear a couple of bangs from the bike. He first heard it he thought something fell off the work dually truck in front of him or someone had a blow out next to him on the highway. That dually pulled off on the shoulder to check their truck, lol. He said only reason he didn't stop was because he heard me do it again. I asked what it sounded like inside his Tundra, he said it sounded exactly like if you took a piece of 3/8" steel plate and dropped it on the concrete. Or possibly a tire blow out, but metal plate was his first thought.

That's good info to make me laugh at myself when riding. Never thought about it sounding like something fell off a truck. While he thought it may was me, but when he passes by the bike while it's warming up and quiet, he didn't think it was.

Yes I'm immature at heart, lol. Other than when I recorded the flames and bangs, I don't do it as much as I want to. Not trying to piss everyone off around me on I-10, but given a little stretch of empty interstate I'll enjoy my flame and bang tune from time to time.

Do you know how much the ABS pump with all it's lines weigh?
i thought i came up with 3.5 lbs ish
3.5ish feels about right. I’ll weigh things up tonight. The pump and the bracket it’s on are obviously the biggest thing. The lines weigh a few ounces at most I’d bet.
I’m doing it mostly to free up some space under the tank at this point (kinda). I’m down to one rotor in front anyway. There might just be enough room under there now to mount a C02 bottle for an air shifter

I wondered the same thing honestly, that or in that empty cavity on left side of tail for non California bikes

The EVAP box is only about 1.5 x 4. I think on a grudge/track bike you could fit one but I don’t think it would have the capacity needed for a street races bike. One of the short wide ones is what I’m thinking for under the tank. I slightly worry about head/thermal expansion but that’s a bomb I’ll address later.

Got my new headlight in, mounted the nose piece to test it and realized my Alif triple tree laid the nose of the bike absolutely on its nuts lol. My forks are lowered 2.25” internally, and the triple tree dropped it close to another inch I’d believe. Add tear the suspension back apart or the ever growing list of poop I need to do before I can ride again.
