I rode today and at a stop i got stuck with my boot between the footpeg and the shift lever... 
Can i replace the clutch lever without having to drain the system?
Can i fix the scratches with paint on the fairing and fine grid sand paper on the muffler?

You might be able to use emery paper to buff out the scratched on the pipe and the fairings can be repainted...
I'd be thinking about what kind of boots you are wearing that caused this...
