Got the courage to cut the new midpipes I had ordered and the gen2 r77 midpipes to make one out of the two. These mufflers definitely fit below the givi bags much better and the exits are past the bags. May have to stop procrastinating and hookup my welder outlet to the breaker box so I can fire up my welder, even if it’s just to tack these so I can then remove them and take them to a pro to weld them fully around.
It's a darn handful for sure! It should be making closer to 400 at the wheel since it has degreed and better gen2 cams and a very nice valve job. After I swap over to a MaxxEcu, I'll have it put on the dyno.
Installed Helibar raisers and Knight’s drop pegs. Also installed H&B C-Bow Reloaded bags. The pegs and bars didn’t make as much as a difference as I expected, but enough to count. After torquing the bolts I took it for a 100 mi. test. Additionally I noticed the pegs make it seem like my foot controls are too short. I think I just need to get used to it. Also, the turn in felt more rapid or flickable. I’m guessing this has to do with more leverage on the bars now that they are higher.
Finally made sometime to hook up the welder to my breaker box and finished the R77/China midpipe Frankenstein so I could install gen2 Yoshi duals to my gen3. I’m by no means a welder but, it’ll hold together and they don’t have leaks. LOL!
