What did you do to your other motorcycle today ?

You are correct......a '25 Busa here is around $26k before taxes....

His Street Glide is a pretty nice bike but it should be for that price....it's interesting that just the heads are water cooled.....

He was talking performance for a bit and I shut that down by asking if it will outperform the Bumblebee...he smiled and shifted into another topic....
All he needs is a cam swap, 2-1 exhaust and Impact Wiring Solutions ECU and hes making over 160/160 TQ

He was thinking if he went that route, he'd go with an M1R instead....but he's thinking of maybe going retro with a Kawi 900......

I told him it must suck to have this weighing over his head....(facetiously of course...)
The M1R would be significantly more fun than the Kawasaki and there's nothing the Kawasaki can do that the M1R can't do better.

After repairing the hole in one of my cans I had it shipped to a shop to have the exhaust reassembled and installed. It’s a two person job. Rode it just 38 miles from the shop but so far the JBWeld is holding. Waaaay cheaper than sourcing an OEM exhaust for it. Getting it ready to tour. The rear has 3,100 miles on it and my trip estimate is just under 3,000 miles. Should I tempt fate or wear it out and get a replacement?

I would send it! Lol! I assume it only puts half or less the busa’s HP to the wheel.

That’s about right but in addition the biggest tire the OEM swing arm allows is just a 130/90/18. That’s right a skinnyazz 90 series tire. Combined with the weight of the bike adding my weight loaded for tour, the rear tire takes a beating. I had to replace a rear on a similar bike some years back on the second to last day of a tour in western WA because I took a chance. I called shops ahead of me on the way until I found one with a tire (and) would get me right in. I think the last 500-1,000 miles of tread wears much faster than the first 500-1,000. :) If I take the Busa the rear on it is also not worthy of another 3,000+ miles. So…I have to wear out at least one rear tire before June.
