What Would Make The Hayabusa Exciting Again?

I think if the magazines take to the Gen 3 like they did to the Gen 1 , remember they all thought the colour was a little underwhelming ... they mostly liked the look , but then they rode it .... and let there be light , the motorcycle world ignited !!! One last super hero Hayabusa model , and then maybe branch off niche models down the track , like Kawasaki is doing . Lets hope the facts about the Gen 3 trickle out of Japan soon like Fallenarch mentioned is currently missing ...

I don't envy the product planners and engineers behind the next Busa. They have some huge shoes to fill. Is it possible for Suzuki to make a modern do-it-all monster that is as happy at a cruise night as it is running down the drag strip or carving back roads? I guess we will have to wait and see...

reminding everyone of the beauty of the hayabusa...

No worries. Give it a few years, it'll happen on it's own.

I agree with GMbusa... lighter and more powerful than competition.. I think it would light the world on fire... I don't think we need all the electronics... I don't even like that stuff...

what drew me to the bike was it's distinctive looks, horsepower and torque its size and it's sound. so update the looks but keep it recognizable I love large displacement engines so for me, I would like to see a normally aspirated larger displacement engine with of course bigger numbers. better suspension for us heavier guy's factory quick shifter for sure, some electronics wouldn't hurt would like to see wheelie control at least, and just the stupid things like an outside temp display, factory charging ports and maybe self cancelling turn signals??? I don't race the bike other than freeway roll on's with the guys I'm riding with but definitely want the bike to be at the top of the pack. If they go away from a bike that works for two up riding as well as this bike does it would have to be a deal breaker for me, the wife doesn't ride but loves to be a passenger once and a while and the size of this bike works great so would like to see some quick and easy removable factory luggage as an option, Nothing like having a touring bike that blows away any other bagged bike come home remove them throw the hump back on and have the recognizable Busa back.

In 1999 state of the art in aerodynamics was smooth and curved. Stealth technology in planes redefined what state of the art aerodynamics is and made facets the in thing. A shape like the original and gen 2 Busa will look very dated today. Needs more edge to it. Personally I think the H2 is a bit of a mess. It's very mechanical looking but not aerodynamic at all. It has a certain charm but lacks a strong iconic form IMHO. Hoping for better from Suki.

Not sure that's possible now that the competition for top speed is liter bikes. I just don't see a manufacturer streeting more than 250-260 hp.
