Yes it could. It could also be the way you shift, if you use the clutch you will not run any MPH and if you take to long to shift or back out to much to complete a clutchless shift it will also hurt your MPH. I think thats may be part of Hims problem since someone else road it and run alot more MPH than he does. View attachment 601627

not to mention this someone had 100 lbs on me no offense luda. so i can leave the thorttle open a little and still do the clutchless shift? i close it all the way before i shift View attachment 601630 i may have found my problem

hmm...yea, you should be running quicker...remember one thing, you need to have that throttle nailed b4 the tree!...you'll then get your 1.50 60 ft's

Yes you keep the throttle mostly open when you shift. Your wrist should be the only thing moving when you back out to do the cluthless shift ( Very little blip of the throttle is all thats needed) if your elbow is moving when your blipping the throttle for the shift then you are backing out way to much.

I wish you lived closer because its alot easier to show someone that to tell them. Just practice some of the things that myself, Jim (streaker00), and Ed (Eracer) tell you and you will be flying in no time. If you ever have a question about anything PM me.

Seems like i may be close to where i wanna be but i'm not sure about my mph!...went out to the track for the first time this year...2nd time ever, best 60ft was 1.51, 330ft was 4.01 and the 1/8th was 6.13...only 114 mph though...best 1/4 mile time was 9.56 at 135...why is my mph not higher?...16th front/42th rear...stock motor...ext 4 inches...lowered 2" front and rear...shinko 003...any opionions???...where is my mph?...shouldn't i be around 140 mph w/these times?...thanx
Wow, on a true stk motor thats flying ! Nice times !

thanx man...i'm feeling pretty good on the launch now...and yes, i do have that throttle pegged at the tree...takes some balls at first but you get used to it!

Him is a little reluctant to launch at WOT, he has good reason to be. He flipped his bike earlier this year in a spectacular fashion doing just that, and then was kind enough to post the video of it for us all to see.

My best so far 9.11 @160MPH and backed it up with 4 more passes in the 9.1 range..

My mods>

2 intake cams degrees @105-105
pc2 custom map
air shifter and onboard compressor
Shiftlight/minder
17-42 sprockets

DRY Nitrous kit 50HP
PAIR sucker mod
MUZZy pipe

Pretty Much stock everything else..including the swing arm, clutch, and I weight 185lbs in street clothes!!

View attachment 601777   okay, I'll bite.............
mods dont do much.

clarification; stock - motor(valve cover never been off), clutch(fibers too, and stock meaning from the damn factory in this bike, cover been off once to tighten 2 pressureplate bolts that worked loose), stock suspension(adjustments made to rear shock),

mods - pipe, pc3r(not tuned map in 2yrs), slammed, 64" wb, shinko 003, U4, large airbox fix, numerous items not put back on from wreck(total weight savings approx 60lbs including exhaust), alum subframe, tigertail, think thats about it.....

foot shifting.
best 60' 1.53
best et 9.39
best mph 148

best consistency's with foot shifting.. donno why.
got close with the airshifter, but............
hot july day last year during qualifying, sequential runs: 9.775, 9.776, 9.775

-----------------
as a side note, got 2nd last sunday(broke a 3-race non-finals streak since I moved closer to the track), but HUGE 2day event at my home track this weekend, wish me luck.

You guys are giving me the bug to hit the track soon! I'm still trying to source a strap, and honestly haven't even taken it out of the garage yet this year.

But my best last October.. I wrapped up the season with a 10.6@139mph with mods listed in my sig.

Finally, tonight I get to take the LE down tha track. haven't a clue what I'll run, just gonna get out there and enjoy it. I'll post times tommorow.

Man after 1 yr and 3months off a bike, I didn't do too bad. My best pass was a 6.45@110mph . My 60ft was a 1.59, the best i had all night. Also had a couple of 6.80's with low 1.70 60's. Boy am i rusty, i gotta get back in shape. View attachment 602185

OK guys, hit the track again lastnight. And i must say, after a year and 3 months off I'm not that rusty. The busa impresses me more everytime I ride it. Anyway, my best pass was as follows:rt .1001, 60ft 1.61, 330 4.28, 1/8mi 6.46@112 mph.  My best 60ft of the night was a 1.60.
1 question I have, where is everyone shifting ? I'm just holding it to redline. I'm sure there's a tenth there. Gonna get my airshifter and shiftlight put on in a week or so. hope to run some 6.30's before i extend it. View attachment 604143
