Which one to buy?

As a newbie, just like to say G'day to everyone from Down Under

...and a big congrats to all contributors. A terrific forum with lots of info and stimulating dialog, well done!

Now to my little dilemma I'm hoping some maybe able to provide some clarity on. lease:

Have just sold my Suzuki M50 and Yamaha Thunderace to get a Busa. Now here's the deal.. There are two hayabusas that have come up on the radar screen and I'm somewhat confused as to the better buy.

First Bike:

2009
12000 kms
Black (my second preference)
PCIII
K & N Filter
Dynoed
Full Yoshi 4-1 Exhaust System
Single carbon can
Suzuki double bubble screen
Radiator guard
Rim stripes
Fender eliminator.

Price 16K (New std busa's are 18k)

2nd Bike
2009
2600kms
Orange/Black (my first preference)
Standard everything, no mods

Price 16.5K (New std busa's are 18k)

Given that I may purchase a bunch of these mods (Such mods here would be about 4k), I'm leaning towards the first bike in respect to value, but like the second one as it is the right colour (for me) and has lower mileage.

Can you help clarify this mid life crisis please?lease:

Get the second one. I think you'll find the Orange is an 08.

i would go with the one i liked better (sounds like the orange/black for you)...it isn't going to end up being that much more $ and the last thing you want to do is end up wishing you had gotten the other one in a couple months...get the one that is going to make you look forward to getting in the saddle and rolling down the road

Of Mad Max or Top Gun fame? ...if so, then no, my grey hair is turnin white (at the ripe old age of 47 sadly :unhappy, so "Dagoose" was in reference to Snowgoose. Although thinkin about it, Goose in Mad Max was a bit of a legend until a mishap with the boys...

Yeh we get pretty stitched up down here, its bloody ridiculous considering our dollar has been around the 90 cent mark for ages. Harleys are the worst, you guys pay around 15k for a Fat Bob, here 28k, go figure
