Who Rode Today?

Aaaaaahh, Rubb. . That was some other dude on a 1098 street fighter Ducati on the camera bike.... I was on the Busa but not in that session, that was A group, I was in B group. But I shoulda been in A group.
Krap. I didn't recognize the gauge package (not a Duck fan) and thought with your wrench abilities you had fitted something with a big gear indicator as your Gen I misses that. Well that crushes my good thoughts for the night. I should have picked up on the exhaust note, but I had the volume real low as that *!#+&* I room with is asleep.
Rubb.

Track day!
finally got to thrash the old girl today, 11000rpm in first four gears!
She went so well, I'm so proud of her
I touched 260Kmh on the main straight before turn 1, which has a very fast entry and then tightens up dramatically to a sharp left hander . . you get your braking wrong on this one and you're in a world of pain!
It's mostly a left hand track and quite technical, had a lot of fun and the group I rode with were mostly road riders having a go at the track.
I've ridden this track many times so I know the tricky bits etc, I embarrassed a few 1K sportsbikes I can tell ya lol, but only coz they were average riders and not too confident on a race track . . . the expert riders on R1's, GSXR's etc cleaned me up in the corner sections but were only slightly faster on the main straight, their braking was later due to less weight than my old Gen 1 tank.
Had so much fun . . . AND I also went out in the 250 Production class on my mate's EX250 Kawa, that was interesting having feck-all power and having to use the momentum of the bike to keep the speed up.
I'll stick to my Busa any day :D:laugh::race:I

Looks like you had fun out there on the beastie....gave them tires a good thrashing.

Some of those people look serious with the tire warmers and all.

I took the Busa out today since I have not rode it much since I got the ZX14.
It started to look like rain again. It has been a very rainy summer here.

Love the pic,Busa looks tite. Ahhh...where do you live? Downtown Dodge City circa 1899? "The first step is a doosey" as they say when living upstairs above that General Store.

Ha, imagine riding a busa in 1899! That is a little antique shop I pass by going through a town called Finchville.

Was trying to figure out what group that was as those two other guys flew round the duke at 'nanas' and disappeared off pretty quick, thought they were in the wrong group.

Hmmmm. . . yes there were some riders that were definitely in the wrong group.
There was one dude on a blue GSXR1000L8 with full Suzuki race suit carving everyone up, and he even appeared in B group at one session. He passed me on the straight and was gone around turn 1 at light speed. . amazing to see the speed first hand like that, he must've been at 280kmh on the straight and braked at the 'chute' into turn 1. Phewww.

I had to make a run to a customers to finish a Power commander V install they started , and couldn't finish .
Got the Map sent , and throttle calibrated for the correct voltages . Since I was out in the country already I headed to the swamp . RJ performed well as usual only beating up on a Half busa ( 650 bergman ) Here are some Friends I found in the swamp today . Gators , and snakes ;)
87 miles today . Rear tire is about done @ 65xx miles

What we need is a guy like this to show up on a Hayabusa to really show them other riders some tail light...

Or this guy...

Got in 129 miles today in and out of the Park. Was 89 up high but 103 on the way thru the El Portal entrance. Was 100 before noon! Barely any traffic so riding was a blast under the shade trees swooping right then left then... Stopping along the Merced River in the shade is a nice treat. Crystal clear water.
