Who Rode Today?

I got 2 black bikes bro , lucky they are glossy and relatively easy to wipe over , at home , but yes , people look at them with their fingers . I reckon the matt or flat finishes might be even more work , sort of slow polish up over time cleaning them if not done correctly I heard .
I got to say Sarge , I am looking forward to riding the Gen 3 , to get some perspective of how it compares to my modded bikes .

My street and dirt helmets are both Shoeis...and matte black.
I love the look...but I've given up on trying to keep them clean. Most everything seems to smudge or streak, and not clean off well.
Anyone know of a good matte finish cleaner and/or polish?
My truck is gloss black...it stays dirty, lol.
But, on that subject, in terms of good cheapo wax and polish, I tried Tech-Shine.
It looks great, then it rains, and typical water spray and dirt down the sides and tailgate. It then had to be brushed or hand washed to get clean before.
Now, $2 at the carwash and done.
Spray with soap, and by the time I finish, and switch to rinse...all the dirt and almost all the soap has dripped off.
About 15 seconds to spray any soap spots and done.
Great cheap alternative to expensive ceramic coatings.

Mine is glossy so I do not know about matte but have you tried Dawn? Dawn takes bug guts out of your way.

I have 2 shoes one Matt black with red stripe other American Eagle and one
simpson black bandit

My truck is white. I pulled my friend out of a field of cowshit twice last summer. I've been waiting for the muck to rinse off naturally so as to avoid swirling the paint but it's still there. That's one problem, the other....well, let's just say, make sure you have your windows up if you pull someone out of a field of cowshit.

What can I say except…ya shoulda been there! :D Here’s some pics but none of them do the area justice. You have to ride it to really take it all in and even then you’ll want to ride it again, which I did, both directions. It’s only 26 miles or so and it parallels 101 all the way and crosses over 101 and the very low Eel River. The one shot shows 101 on the left and the Avenue on the right. Scenery is about the same but on the Avenue you ride much slower. See the fish on the Immortal tree? That’s how high the Eel River flood was in 1964, about 20’ above the base of the tree. Notice anything odd about the motel pic? The ocean pics are what you see as you come out of the woods on hiway 1 from Leggett, where hiway 1 ends, or begins, depending on your direction. About 20 miles of Smiles between 101 and the Pacific.

Up down left right times a zillion! Some banked and some off camber. Harleys scrape in some of the corners as do trailers and trucks.

Went for a little jaunt up to Bellingham today to check out Steve Baker's new digs. They just moved their multi brand dealership to a new store a while back and I just needed an excuse for a ride today! LSS as I was leaving, Steve walked out into the parking lot and paid me what I consider to be the highest compliment! He says'; " Your bike is just stunning"! I was actually a bit moved that a world champion Roadracer would go out of his way to come out and make small talk to yours truly! I talked to him a little about the new store, and the new KTM 1290S, with Automated Cruise Control (that we in the states cannot buy just yet) he took down my info and told me he would let me know if, or when they might be imported to the US. Super nice guy, if your ever in the Bellingham area check em out.
