Who Rode Today?

These are for @Kiwirider
He said he had heard about the Blue Ridge Mountains in West Va, in the John Denver song "Country Roads"
I'm in the BRmtns, looking SW across Va with WestVa out on the horizon.
I wish I had taken the phone out of the case for better clarity, it was a very clear day, and the pictures don't do it justice.

Back of the Dragon and "the Tail of the Dragon" are two different roads. The Back of the Dragon is in Va and very near you. Home - Back of the Dragon Like I said I think you are a couple of miles from it.

Tazwell, Va
No, I'm 3 1/2 + hours away from there.
The BRP has also been closed for construction about a mile SE of where I get on at in Vinton, Va, and for a long time now. I don't know how far south through the countryside I'de have to go to pick it up again.
Otherwise, Tazwell is alot of hours of slab away.

I’m sure you have mentioned why before but I’m curious what lead to choosing this 1000 over another busa?

Day two is a wrap . 308 miles 20 ish off road @ Elephant mountain wildlife management area . Got the big Tiger Airborne many times on video.
Will make a ride video once home . No editing tools here . Found the old ranch house about 10 miles into the preserve. Rick turned around after 2 miles and waited for me .

Got a 60ish mile ride today. Went to my moms to fix her light switch. Had to go pick one up from hardware store then back to replace and back home. Think I may have smoked my clutch or it burned a little oil. Got some smoke that smelled like clutch, if it were dry and in a car, after a hard pull merging on and off freeway. Will have to make a video to review the rpm vs mph one day.

I haven’t been out in quite a while but was pleasantly surprised to find my bike running really good in the cooler weather. I tried to use up as much of the fuel as I could just in case the weather turns bad . I won’t have to siphon as much fuel out. I have to say, the Hayabusa is amazingly smoother to ride than my Ducati’s. They beat me to death. When it’s about 70-75f my mesh jacket was pretty comfortable as long as I was moving.

I’ve always parked my bikes with full fuel tanks. Prevents corrosion and with a lil SeaFoam the lines and the injectors stay clear. I agree on the Ducatis. My 999 killed my wrists and hands after a couple hours. Those couple hours were a lot of fun though.

I managed to get out on a short ride, the sun is out and it's not to bad for temperature (65'f or so).

Bumblebee proving it can be an adventure bike if it wants to be...and Mother Nature putting on a color display....

I almost forgot.....my BMW riding neighbor who put his bike into winter storage just happened to be out raking his yard when I went by.......so I gave him the bird on the way by....he just laughed....

My good mate Greg has a DR650hire bike/adventure Tours company, these DR650's are all his hire bikes but I tag along on my DRZ with the tour groups, it's so much fun! Here's a link to his website . . .
Here’s a couple of pics of me last Saturday... I’m on my bike with the orange shoei .... and in the middle of the three standing.
