Who Rode Today?

Rode the Busa hoping to bump into an org member then came home and grabbed the Road Glide to do some firearm shopping.
Tomorrow probably be a day long ride on one of them.

What are you shopping for? See my latest?

I’m after the Sig Scorpion P320 and the Sig AXG Combat right now. Those M&P shields are nice! I have a performance center Shield and my girl and my daughter carry Shields as well as they wanted safeties.

I got my daughter a S&W 2” 38+P Airweight with a shrouded hammer so nothing can catch on it from a pocket or purse. I know it’s only five shots but it’s meant to save her life, not engage in a fire fight.

Kind of makes me regret not taking the shield i was looking at when I got my last one and makes me kind of want another one now . I picked up my m&p during covid and there wasn't much for options at the time. I went in wanting the s&w sd40 ve because a buddy of mine has one and it holds up well for his edc especially since it gets plenty of dust, dirt, and grease from him owning and working in his collision shop but the only thing they had was to step up to the m&p. I agreed to take it but I got the full size 4.25" barrel because it just felt better for me but then they ended up giving me the 9mm full size instead of the 40 cal shield I was looking at at the same time:mad:. My main issue was it was so hard to even find 9mm ammo at that time plus i just prefer the 40 butI hadn't realized what they did until they had already ran everything thru the background computer which was having serious issues so I just settled and took it but don't have any complaints and really like it.

I really appreciate that it’s so small, just under an inch wide with the 3.1“ barrel and yet still with a .40 caliber punch. The trigger feel is great and with the 7 round mag it fits my hand perfectly. I already have the Colt and others, and not that I would ever need another handgun, I’d like to have a BrenTen or similar 10mm pistol and a long barreled .44 magnum Colt Anaconda. It’s sooo gorgeous!

So not to add salt to the wound but some guys I shoot with actually prefer the recoil of .40 over 9mm. Todays ammo you will hear the argument that 9mm performs as well or in some cases better than .40… I don’t know. My first firearm is chambered in .40 and it’s my bedside gun and has been for over 25yrs (if it ain’t broke…) it remains the only .40 I have. I’ve 10s, 45s, 38s, 380s… 9 is my standard tho. That super carry round I’d like to try tho it could just be a flash in the pan and I’ll feel like I could’ve saved that money towards a nicer piece. Really looking forward to that 2311 from Oracle Arms!!
Maybe we start a different thread to keep this ride thread from going off track lol.

Any updates to the trigger in your shield? I’ve done Apex in my daughters 1.0 and my gf has a 2.0 that’s really nice so we left it stock. My performance center was bought used off the rental stock at my local gun range and let me tell you what a good amount of rounds will do for a “decent” trigger. They estimate that it’s had over 10k ran through most of their rentals and this things trigger is really really good!
