In the mountains last weekend, good times as always, rained except the day I left. Met a few new folks, broke bread with friends I’ve been riding with since 2006.

Just a short breakfast run. Pics in my new toy thread.
Gen-2 seems OK. Now to make plans.
Don't want the new Angel GT2’s that are on it, do want a BTL lock up. Don’t like the iridium screen. Need a single seat hump to register it as a solo. Lads back on the coast are organising a dyno day so might go to that. Don’t want to run it seriously at the drags but I might try a test and tune meet. Will see what bits turn up at the right price. I’ve wanted a Gen-2 based project for a while, I think this is the right bike.

It's definitely a new direction for Suzuki styling... lots of Kawi in the sharp angles, too much Yamaha in the face. It's honestly not a very attractive thing but from the rider's seat, most of the ugly is hidden from view. Thankfully it's a great thing to ride so I can overlook its awkward aesthetics. Much like a 'Busa.

If we look at what Suzuki has put out over the years we see lots of these exercises..
-The abomination they called a Katana from 1988 until the latest design came along to correct the design...
-The B King was toted as ugly (I like it though)
-The Hayabusa was also toted as ugly and we all know how we feel about that...
-The GSXS1000F was fairly ugly as well....

It certainly does, the trellis subframe, the shape of the exposed clutch cover and the fairing sure does...

No... I don't have a passenger to carry. My wife is a rider and my 10 year old daughter is too scared to go on the back of a bike. She will ride in the sidecar outfit though, so there's that....
My daughter is 12...won't ride with me either, but my girlfriend does.
And...I wish I had somebody to ride me around in a sidecar!
